Violin Packback Strap made all the difference in the world.
I have been playing violin for nearly 35 yrs. I had seen ppl with the backpack feature on their case. I always thought that I needed to buy a new case for that feature. After I researched the internet, I discovered that my current case has the anchors for the back pack attachment. It was like a whole new world when I was able to use it. It completely freed up my hand to hold a cup of tea, music, keys or phone. It is extremely comfortable and I would highly recommend it.

Pretty Cool, I guess.
Straps seem pretty well made. Hasnt broken yet, is what i mean. Hopefully it wont. Fairly comfortable to wear, though because the straps meet at the base of the neck instead of at the shoulders (like on a backpack) they take some getting used to. the design does make the fiddle case hang away from my back and kind of wobble a little bit (like another reviewer mentioned), but this is of no real concern and perhaps is in fact fortunate for me as i often am riding my bike while carrying my violin in its case on my back and if the the straps allowed the case to be pulled snug to my back, well then there would be no room for my bike helmet. Safety First!

Works well with a cello case
I wasn't sure if this would work with a cello case, because it says for small to medium instrument cases. But it works fine, and not even extended to its full length. It's not awfully comfortable with my hard case, because the case is, well, hard! I wouldn't want to backpack with it. But it's great for what I need, short stretches on often uneven terrain.

Needs a new design
When I put both straps on, the top piece jabs me on the back and the violin sits diagonal to my body. Who ever designed this didn’t measure properly.

Quality Product
When I ordered a Bobelock Half Moon 4/4 violin case for my 11 year old son for his Christmas present, I decided to order this backpack style v-strap, as well. It was a pleasant surprise to find that the quality of this v-strap turned out to be higher than what I was expecting. The shiny silver metal snap ends are of very sturdy quality while good looking. They look to last a very long time, probably decades. The straps are also well padded for shoulder comfort while adjustable for length to suit different bodies. For the price I'm very happy. Since my 13 year old violist son has an inferior quality v-strap that came with his new viola case from a different brand (also for his Christmas present), I'm going to order another one soon.

Very comfortable and sturdy
I ordered this V-strap b/c mine were shredding from the shoulder pieces that come with a backpack style 1/2 moon Bobelock case. I LOVE these backpack straps! They are very comfortable and will definitely last for a few years. It actually makes my violin case feel lighter. I teach at students' houses so having comfortable/reliable straps to get from house to house is definitely a necessity. One comment, I'm pretty short (5'1") and the straps are adjusted to their shortest for me, so if someone is even shorter, these might be too big to fit correctly. The upside is that there's lots of room for adjusting bigger so tall people need not worry.

MUCH too long and poorly designed
These straps are well made, but almost unusable. As others have commented, the design of the clip at the top means the violin case hangs several inches away from my back and wobbles all over. I could live with that, but the straps are so long as to be almost useless. Unlike most backpack straps, where you can pull to adjust them once they are on, the adjustable strap portion is at the bottom of an excessively long padded strap (maybe it would work well with a cello case?). I had to cut the stitching and shorten the strap to its very shortest length, but that makes it very hard to get on and off - and there is no more adjustment room. Once on, the case still bumps against my butt, which is very uncomfortable. For reference, I am female, 5'8", and not overweight. All in all, I've had more success with a mismatched pair of carrying straps clipped on as backpack straps. What I would like to know is, why can't someone design a decent standalone set of case back straps? There are excellent ones that come with some cases, but you can't buy them separately.

But be sure you get the right product
The strap is excellent for its purpose, with the one complaint being the "V" piece at the top that others have mentioned. That's my reason for four stars rather than five. The "V" piece is indeed a bit annoying.I first ordered this from Evergreen Violin, who sent a DIFFERENT strap altogether: HALF the size (not fit violin), no shoulder padding, and no swivel at the top. They refused to admit the error, charged me to return it, and refused to respond when I presented them with photos of what they'd sent versus the advertised item.I re-ordered from Johnson (from the same listing) and received the correct item.
