Small, Easy to use given the youtube instructions, meets my needs
Overall, this meets my needsThe included instructions are poorly written and confusing, but the youtube video is clearer; watch what to do, and how long to press the buttons (they are somewhat timing sensitive). Then write some notes.Web pages and PDFs are cheap, "Honeywell" Jasco ---- a well-written twenty page manual (online) with a dozen usage examples would save even more confusion. Test the instructions on many users - learn what they need to know, not what you feel like saying. For the cost of a few dozen free samples to volunteers who make phone videos of their fumblings, you can perfect your instructions, increase sales, reduce returns, and improve your reputation and Amazon product ratings. That said, the interface accomplishes a lot with a few buttons, once you learn how to use them. The unit contains a battery, and batteries do not last forever. The warranty is two years. Take notes (including programming times); if the unit lasts a couple of years, you probably got your money's worth, and will buy another. But you don't want to spend time remembering how to program the replacement.Batteries in landfills are a no-no. There are no instructions for proper disposal. When this unit fails, I can probably crack it open, remove the battery, and recycle it with my other batteries. I don't want to reuse the unit after opening it, that would be a safety hazard. The unit is quite small, and the lettering is as well. I'm nearsighted, so I can look close, but older people with presbyopia, or farsighted, might need a magnifier. Small is my preference; I can fit two side by side on a power strip or wall plate. This is a two-terminal unit with polarized plug - if this feeds a three prong plug, you will need a three prong to two prong adapter, with a long enough ground tail that you can reach the grounding screw on the wall plate some distance away.My application is unusual: I sometimes forget to take my morning or evening pills, and I take too many to fit most pill reminder boxes. I don't want a reminder that makes noise, and I prefer enough indication light so that I can see it from 20 feet away. So I use these to drive small, low power colored light bulbs vonnected through small "lamp socket to plug" adapters ("Comyan E26", also purchased from Amazon). My schedule is chaotic, so I set each one to go on and off for two differnt six hour intervals around the recommended pill time. After I take my pills, I push the button to turn out the light. It will come back on the next day. When I get older, I will probably take pills four times a day, so I can use all four intervals on two timers. For now, a different colored light for each different pill interval makes an easier reminder.Living 24x7 indoors during the Covid pandemic isn't easy. Every day is "blursday". Timed lights improve discipline and remove some of the blur. Well worth the small expense.

Well suited for LED lights
I got these for decorative LED string lights, and they are well suited to the purpose. They are easy to set, as long as you use a toothpick or something to hit the little, recessed "reset" button before setting it. They replaced electromechanical timers, because the old style were making a humming or ticking that usually didn't make past my tinnitus, but was unpleasant for my roommate. The only sound either of us has heard from this one is a faint "click" when the timer goes from on to off or off to on.The mechanism is digitally controlled, buttons for programming, and has a polarized two prong socket. It is small, and reasonably unobtrusive.Definitely beats running around the house at sunset, and again before going to bed.E.M. Van Court

Does what it needs to do with small quirks
Works as expected. Time is easy to set, but the directions aren’t the greatest. Once you figure it out, simple to use. The timer only goes one way when setting, so you gotta hold the button down for a while depending on the time, but not a terrible inconvenience.Only thing is that it’s a bit wide, so depending on your outlet/surge protector configuration, it will likely block other plugs.I use if for my aquarium lights and it works like a charm. I’ve bought multiple times.

Timers work Accurately!
Once programmed (remember to charge first!) the timers work great! They take up small space on wall outlet and we are very satisfied with the function and instructions. Compliments to the manufacturer for immediately replacing the one timer that did not work. These will be used after Christmas for other lights!

Simple Easy to Use Timers with (2) two on-off time settings
The timers are simple and easy to use. If you need to use just one on-off setting, I believe you use just the left side timer, and leave the other side off. Arrows indicate if the timer is on or not. You just have to use the up or down buttons to set the time for the on, and similarly for the off. Plug in your device, and it will turn on at the start time, and go off at the set time. You have the option of also having a second on-off timer setting. Possibly one for the morning, and one for the evening, such as for lamps, etc. If you use for a coffee machine or something, you would just turn on one timer setting. The devices also have in-built charging so that if you unplug the timer, the clock will still run. I don't know how long it lasts, but at least it does not die right away. Working out well for the use I had.

Trash -stuck at 5:02pm until I unplugged it
Ordered a two pack, open box. It shouldn't have been put back on the shelf in the first place because one of the twoo screens was malfunctioning and half the screen didn't work. Both were turned on, so Amazon should've noticed this pre-return. The other one seemed to work fine, so I plugged it in while I waited for a replacement product (which I ordered the 2 outlet version of this). It worked good for about a week and then I get to work after the weekend and it's off. Timer was set to 5am, so why is it off? So I check and it says it's 5:02pm (actually 7:45am, but okay). Check 5 minutes later. Guess it's still 5:02pm. Light of course didn't have power so I unplugged it and plugged in the light directly. Now it's suddenly keeping time again but it's 5:10pm now. It's like it stopped counting time for no reason. Not going to bother re-setting it, because it's obviously unreliable. Returning and cancelled the order for the two outlet version. I'll find something else.Furthermore, not a single button works now that it's tracking time again. So even if I wanted to reset it, I can't.

Didn't last more than a season
Used 4 of these timers for the holidays 2023 around the house inside. I just pulled them out for some Halloween lights and noticed the screens were blank on all 4. Tried opening to see if it was an easily replaceable battery - of course not. Big bummer!

Simple Small Digital Timer
I used these timers to turn Christmas trees on and off. They work great and are small. The instructions however were written by people not clear enough to write instructions for IKEA. After some digging on the internet I finally found clarity and turns out they are simple to operate. Go ahead and buy this timer. Don't read the instructions. Made in China.
