This product is amazing!!!
I read all the reviews about this product. Some were glowing, others were critical. But my computer was getting slower and slower every day, and I figured I had nothing to lose if the FixMe Stick didn't work. So I went ahead and ordered it. I could not get the stick started. I chatted with customer support, and they told me that I needed a wired keyboard, and that would get things going. I bought the cheapest one I could find, and tried again. The program ran perfectly. It didn't take vert long either. And I have a whole new Mac! It is so fast - pages load up quickly and I don't see those spinning wheels any more. I am thrilled that I don't have to shell out money for a new Mac, and I feel much safer knowing the viruses and spyware have been removed. It's pretty amazing when you find a product that does what it promises to do. I am recommending this product to everyone I know!

The Fix Me Stick scanned my iMac in about 20 minutes! The one drawback is your optic mouse won't work during the scan. You have to use the tab button on your keyboard to negotiate through the screen. If your connected to a WiFi network, make sure to click on the network connection and find your ID then insert your password before clicking on the EFI Boot at the start up of Fix Me Stick.

Doesn’t work
Tried on MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. Tried the web site found and update if you r fixme stick doesn’t work. After a download and run got the message that it couldn’t U.N. mount fixme drive. Now the drive doesn’t work at all. Wrote company email they sent a new boot holding down 4 keys on start up. Didn’t work either. Had to reinstall os system on MacBook Pro. Fixme stick still won’t boot up. Had to buy Norton 360, cost more but it worked. Suggest you do the same

Great Gadget!
The Fix Me Stick is a great gadget for cleaning up your computer for viruses. It's so easy to use and doesn't take very long. You can use it over and over. This is a great accessory to have and it gives you piece of mind when dealing with computer issues.

It took a while to get it to work.
I did not start up as instructions said it should. Then I got a few people from their product help line, just telling me over and over to do what the instructions said to do. Finally after several different people contacted me, I got someone who knew what he was doing. Then It worked great. At least they kept trying.

ONE HUGE RESERVATION
Don't buy this unless you are an technical expert on Mac. I couldn't get the device to engage, boot-up or come on line properly and perform its function. So, I tried it a second time--same thing. The end result was that it wiped out my wireless keyboard AND mouse. Without those, you can't boot the Mac back up and come on line with the device removed, because you have to be able to move the cursor (pointer) and type in your password. No cursor, no keyboard = no computer. I panicked. I spent an hour on the phone with Apple tech support. After trying out a few things with no success, they tried to help me reinstall Mac OS X Lion via "Command/R". But, again, I had no control of the cursor/pointer, so I couldn't click on "reinstall". Finally, they set me up with an appointment for the shop at the Apple Store the next day. After I hung up from the rep, I powered all the way down and back up several more times; and, magically, somehow I was able to "re-pair" my mouse to Mac. Now, I had keyboard and mouse back up and everything returned to normal. Checked "Documents" and "Downloads", and couldn't see that I lost anything--everything worked fine. Beside tech support, I spent 2 to 3 hours of my own time trying to dig out of this mess. Above, I rated it the 2nd star, because Amazon allowed me to return the item, and they have already returned my money to my credit card. By the way, the Apple tech support rep insisted that Macs CANNOT get viruses. And also said that anti-virus programs for Mac are pretty much a waste of time. They did say, however, that an "adware removal program" would be okay.

It worked!
The fix me stick Worked exactly as advertised. The only thing that might be a problem for some people is that you need to have a Wired Mouse and Keyboard. I was able to use my wired keyboard and Mouse from my PC. Total time for this to complete the process was about 90 minutes.

I bought this because my iMac was having serious problems. I was struggling to make the stick do the things it was supposed to do, as things weren't happening as described. I contacted their online support via the Chat facility. They soon established that I didn't have a virus but corrupted files. They were able to establish this by using the Fixmestick to remote control my Mac. They sent me out a USB repair stick (free) and backed up my hard drive for me. They then used the repair stick to correct the corrupted files and I'm up and running just as before. You are not on your own if you are struggling. Excellent service!
