We had been using four 150W Halogen J Type T3 bulbs, in our Family Room. So on an hourly basis we were using 600W per hour, to get 600W of light, and I just decided to reduce my electric cost. This is the best bulb I could locate in the market. So with these bulbs I was using only 40W per hour, and getting Less Than 240W equivalent light. This was a big reduction in my hourly energy cost, even though I am only getting less than half the light! I have now Replaced these bulbs, and have gone back to the old 150W Halogen 78mm bulbs, as it was too dark, and we all needed more light in the Family Room area. I have now stopped using other lights to supplement the "loss" of light!

These are not dimmable when used only with each other. If you mix in a halogen and one or two of these LEDs then it sorta works. very low lumens, not good for a bathroom fixture as I have them. Ive been playing around with them in different combinations for the past six months. These are useless and a waste of money. I have to buy another brand and hope for the best again.

The led equivalent to halogen 100w bulbs are definitely not as bright. Maybe 75% equivalent brightness when new. These bulbs do not last very long; maybe 2 to 3 months and then they start blinking; which is very annoying. At 7 times the price of equivalent halogen; not worth the electricity savings. I have tried various manufacturers with the same results.

No idea about longevity obviously, will update if they fail prematurely, but so far they work perfectly. A straight swap from original bulbs and appear to be similar color and brightness. Only issue is I have 5 sconces not 4 so need to order a solo. One note, they are the same length but larger diameter. In my application this is acceptable as they are behind a frosted plate, but I could not get the original heat sheild to fit on them. This is fine for me since they should have significantly lower heat output than halogens making heatsheild unneccessary but may interfere in applications with a tight diameter tolerance.

I was really looking forward to saving energy in my outdoor halogen flood lights. They are motion sensor activated, no dimmer switch involved, just on/off. These LED bulbs installed with a great fit and when the motion switched them on, they were super bright - for about 2 seconds. Then they dropped down to barely enough light to see - not even as bright at the night light in my kids room. Tried again next night in case it was a one-time fluke, but same result. Removed and returned asap. Will look for another brand because I really want to save energy with our flood lamps.

PURCHASED 4 BULBS 4 MONTHS AGO SEPT2020. WORKED WELL BUT 1 STARTED BLINKING , REPLACED WITH ANOTHER AFTER 2 DAYS REPLACEMENT BULB DID THE SAME THING ,BLINKING. NOW ON 4TH BULB FROM SET.ORIGINAL HALOGEN BULBS LASTED 15 YEARS ONLY REPLACED TO SAVE ELECTRICITY.GUESS THAT DIDN'T WORK OUT.NOT SURE HOW TO GET IN TOUCH WITH MFG. BUT THEIR QUALITY CONTROL IS LACKING.ONCE THIS BULB GOES SOUTH ITS BACK TO HALOGEN. GOOD THINK I DIDN'T REPLACE THE CEILING FAN LIGHT ITS 12 FT HIGH.

big problem with these after a few months they start to flicker unusable Amazon refunded my purchase. but initially ---Great consistent light, not spotty light looking like the old led bulbs I replaced, look more natural than the original halogen bulbs. Hope they are long lasting and energy efficient as I hope. Wife said saw a flicker, but didn't see that issue when I used the light. Fairly priced as well

These bulbs worked as a perfect replacement for the very hot halogen bulb. Note, that I used them for a desk lamp where eliminating the heat and better efficiency were the goals. If you need dimming capability, these bulbs will not provide the same range of lighting as the halogen bulbs. This was the only reason I rated them a 4, if you do not need dimming the bulbs are 5 star.
