Flourish. Banner. Frame.: 555 Ornaments and Motifs for Design and Illustration

The images in here are useful for many different projects... I'm using them in Adobe Illustrator CS2, an older version. The DVD that is in the back of the book was said to have CS2 files but they didn't open correctly in my program. I emailed the author and he replied within an hour, that he was uploading a set that would work and he'd send me the link shortly. He did, I downloaded, and I'm loving playing around with these images. The author explained that the error was a misunderstanding. I'm guessing that since other reviews don't mention the problem, the files probably worked as is for later versions of the program.

Nice selection. The files are easy to edit so you can change them in photoshop/illustrator.

flourish.banner.frame is a great resource book containing 555 ornaments and motifs, plus comes with a DVD which includes editable vector files. In this book you will find Designs for Banners, Borders, corner treatments, floral and flourishes, frames, graphic rings, ornaments, placards and cartouches and last my favourite tribal flair. Von Glitschka is always happy to give designers an insight to his world and always generous with his knowledge and information. Add this to your collection..

Great resource book. Von Glitschka is an genius of vector-based art. The examples and images give you a really good idea of how to use the art included on the CD. Easy to understand, access and use. I highly recommend this book and all of them in the series for any illustrator and/or graphic artist. You won't be disappointed.

I've use a differently design for use a photoshop or other something you will need it now. I've enjoys of a differently designs on the computer. Thanks so much :)

Von Glitschka is Von Awsome, I have gotten so much inspiration as a graphic designer from his books that I bought them all.

Cool book, but I feel heavy on the tribal look. Not really vintage looking elements at all, but modern elements with an Adobe Illustrator look, sharp points and edges. Probably great for modern whimsical styles and a modern animation look. I guess I was looking for more vintage looking stuff.

Useless as an ebook. If this is published in an ebook format then there should be a way to download the files that are provided on the dvd that accompanies the hardback book.

Wonderful works from various Artists. Worth having in your Library. Thank you to all of those Artists in sharing your talent. There are many choices to learn.
