Travelon Anti-Theft Classic Travel Bag

This bag works great for daily or travel trips. It has nice security options that give peace of mind when traveling. It has a small outer spot for a water bottle. Be aware it only holds a regular slender 16oz plastic water bottle. Most refillable water bottles are too tall & wide for this slot. I've tried several16 oz refillable styles & they do not fit well. It has plenty of room for your necessary day trip items & the rfid protects your cards. I wear it as a crossbody. The strap has a steel wire inside making it cut proof. It adjusts well & is comfortable.

Overall, I am very pleased with this ​ anti-theft travel bag. The bag is roomy, durable, and offers great peace of mind​ for keeping my belongings safe and secure with its locking​ strap and compartments, slash-resistant​ straps and panels, and RFID blocking slots. I also appreciate the organized internal compartments and the soft, padded lining. The midnight blue color is​ deep and dark and a wonderful, unobtrusive alternative to black, and the hardware and zippers feel very high-quality​ with the zippers opening smoothly. The fabric is lightweight, feels strong, and the bag is easy to adjust and wear. The key clip is a fabulous feature. My only disappointment is the water bottle holder, as it is only large enough to accommodate a very small bottl​e. Otherwise, this is an ideal travel bag.

I love this bag -- it's the second time I've bought it! Had an earlier model of the same bag that I used regularly for years, but had to retire it recently after two of the zippers finally gave out. There have been some changes and improvements to the current model being sold. 1) Magnet closure on side pocket replaced with Velcro closure. This is a good improvement as magnets have no place on handbags (and the earlier version erased my bus pass on one occasion). 2) Lobster-claw security clasps have been replaced with rectangular hinge clasps. This is a mixed change. The new clasps are easier to use, but may be slightly less secure. The new clasps are probably less likely to break, but due to how they are attached, they'd be harder to replace if they do break. 3) Two interior mesh pockets in main compartment have been removed. Generally this is a positive. The mesh tended to catch on things, and there are still two cloth pockets that hold my phone and glasses. This frees up more space in the main compartment. 4) A sturdy ribbon with clasp has been installed in the main compartment -- great for easily finding your keys. 5) Middle wallet compartment now has a interior zip pocket, similar to the larger one in the main compartment. This seems more secure and more functional than the earlier model's small open pocket. 6) Credit card slots have been moved to the other side of the middle wallet compartment, outside of the cash pocket. This works fine. 7) Cash pocket is slightly smaller than the one on the earlier model. Works OK for dollars, but might be harder for some foreign currencies or placing a bank envelope. 8) Gusset added to wallet compartment. This makes it easier to open this compartment and access your items. 9) All three zippers seem to have been upgraded to stronger, sturdier ones. Bodes well for preventing the main reason I had to give up my earlier bag! If I could make one suggestion for improving this bag, it would be to re-think the side pockets. The one with the Velcro closure is really too small for securely holding a phone, and the zippered one on the other side, allegedly for holding a water bottle, is really not functional for holding anything other than a mini water bottle, which most people don't bother to use or carry in a bag. I think it's OK to have at least one side pocket for holding small items you want to access quickly, but I think an open envelope pocket on the back side of the bag, for holding papers or realistically stashing a phone, would be more useful. Although I've made a lot of critiques here, I have to say that I love this bag and do highly recommend it. I originally bought it before travelling abroad, but ended up using it as an "every day" bag. The security features help me feel more protected wherever I go, and it's just the right size for holding the things I need to have with me. I look forward to more years of using this bag!

I spent about a month before my recent trip trying out different travel bags before I found this one. It checked 95% of my needs! Pros: tons of space, it fit sooo much, tons of pockets and allowed me to stay organized. Felt secure having the RFID pocket, the locking zippers and the uncuttable crossbody strap. The material is nice and durable and easy to keep clean as well. Cons: the cell phone pocket needs to be bigger, my iPhone 15 Max didn’t fit. The water bottle pocket could be bigger, since it’s in a zipper that expands the mesh could be larger to accommodate something other than a plastic bottle. Then some nit picky details would be, having all of the zippers zip in the same direction, a tech pocket on the back, or even a pocket inside the larger compartment, for like a kindle (not super necessary, because the large compartment is plenty big enough but it would just be nice so other stuff doesn’t turn my kindle on and off) and lastly the crossbody strap could be a little wider or needs a padded cuff, if you have a lot of stuff in the bag it does tend to cut into your shoulder. Overall this was my final choice for travel and I’m happy with how it held up, it was a great price, I managed to snag it on sale which was a plus! Bag just needs a 2025 facelift and it’ll be perfect, and I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase the updated version!

I've used this purse for all of my trips for 3 years now. It's a great size for day tripping. I love the security, including RFID blocking. It has useful pockets, but the water bottle sleeve could stand to be a bit larger.

Okay so I spent SO LONG researching good day travel bags for my trip to Europe. Lots of people recommended this brand, so I looked into it. I came across this bag where the main complaints were that the sides couldn't hold a water bottle. I noticed that too but my small hydroflask fit perfectly inside the bag, so it wasn't a major issue for me. I also put lotions, lip balms, or my glasses in the side pouches so I could still use them. This bag was great for full day trips. I could perfectly fit toiletries, my wallet, glasses, sunglasses, a big spray on sunscreen, a water bottle, and the side pocket fit my umbrella!!! I could also fit little souvenirs I bought during the day. I felt so safe with this bag in Europe and did not get pickpocketed in major cities like Barcelona. There are so many pockets to stay organized too. My only complaint is that the strap can get a bit uncomfortable at the end of the day but if you switch shoulders and maybe also lift it up from the bottom with your arms it isn't too bad. Overall, 10/10 recommend!

This bag is a perfect size for carrying whatever you want - including a small water bottle. Pockets are great, holding everything you need for the day. Currently on a long European trip and it’s been perfect for long tour days. Especially with the locking zippers. Highly recommend!

The Travelon Anti-Theft Classic Travel Bag is made of a nice material that is weather resistant. The shoulder strap was long enough to place at any length for carrying on your shoulder or as a crossbody. The inside pockets were adequate and had plenty of space for items that would be needed. I thought the oval shaped front zipper pocket was an odd shape and could have been better utilized as a wider pocket with more expansive space. The purse I received had a defect on the zipper lock of the front pocket and would not align in the proper spot when engaging the clip to lock, which defeated the safety feature. The side outside pocket would not stay zipped; it just slid open and would not stay in place if you wanted to use it for other items besides a beverage holder. When unzipped it fanned out into a mesh pocket that would hold a large sport water bottle but it seemed floppy and that the larger size bottle would be easily tipped out of the pocket. The mesh also appeared prone to tearing after frequent use of the bottle rubbing against it. Overall, I may have kept the purse if it weren’t for the damages to the zipper closure and the safety clip on the front pocket, but I am returning it for a refund.

I love this purse so much that I bought a second one. I use it everyday and the first one I bought lasted 5 years. Not wide enough fir a tablet can fit a medium size book, several cards phone, a bottle if water. The interior is deep and I love that I can lock each compartment.

I didn't write the review till now I see this for reviewing. Good that I've used it for my 16 days Central Europe trip that I could give a practical review. I love it cos it's so compact to carry close to me. And amazed by the compartments which even comes with a bottle holder at side. I would carry it for my long trips anywhere I travel to.
