Fiskars Everywhere Punch Window System Starter Set

I really needed a rectangular punch... but this works great... my only problem with it was the packaging.... it was hard to remove the punch. Please note... this is a punch to make windows.... NOT to collect the punched out pieces.. #happy

Not what I expected at all. I bought this to use for a scrap a day journal and you can’t use it because it puts holes into the piece it is cutting out. This is meant if you want to leave a “window”. I don’t even think I can return it since I had to destroy the packaging to get it out

Boy, do I wish I had watched the video more carefully before I bought this kit. To make things worse, I first bought another shape of Fiskars "everywhere punch" before I learned that you need this starter kit to cut ANY shape. Now I am stuck with two of these miserable punches, which they will not allow me to return. Details: neither punch produces a usable shaped embellishment. They ONLY produce holes of that shape, and only do a semi-accurate job of guiding you to the spot where you want the hole. If you want the hole close to the edge of your paper (or to another hole), the cut is raggedy and uneven and impossible to overlay to correct it with a second effort. The three-holed magnets poke a messy, lumpy trio of holes in your punched shape so you can't even cover the cut product with another paper shape or embellishment in order to use it. What a waste of paper! Plus you get "shavings" from these 3 holes all over your worktable and clothes. Crafters are better off buying hand-held punches or even using a pencil and Exacto knife to get the shaped holes where they want them. I have other Fiskars tools that I love, but they really need to dump this fiasco from their line and go back to the drawing board.

I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing this product. First, it is not a 2x2 square. It's just over an inch. Secondly, it punches though the square that it cuts out. WHY? It could be so much more useful. Don't buy this unless you just need to punch out windows. I could see this product making some cute projects but it won't do what I was hoping - cut out 2x2 passport photos. I haven't tried to return it yet, but as you have to completely destroy the packaging to get to the product I'm guessing it won't get returned. The punch does seem to be pretty sturdy and sharp and I like that there are more shapes to add, I just wish it was more clear that it destroyed the middle part getting punched out.

This paper punch is a sturdy product, and it works exactly as promised. I would have no problem recommending this product.

I needed a "window" cutter to punch handles into a paper bag. The circle add-on is the perfect size for this purpose, which is a bit larger than the square since they can fit more circle in the circular cutter. My only complaint is that it can only cut through one piece of card stock at a time, so it takes a few more cuts to get the job done. But, the finished product is very nice. Yes, you need the starter kit. Yes, this punches holes in the cut-out shape. But if you need a window, this will do it. Very satisfied with my purchase.
