BLACKHAWK! Load Bearing Suspenders/Harness (Straps Only)

I should of bought this harness/suspended set years ago. I'm a 9yr female police officer 5'7 140lbs with a 31" waist and athletic build. This harness was my last resort after trying to use the carbon fiber 5.11 zero g plates under my duty belt. I wear a safariland Accumold duty belt wth Velcro liner, where the inner belt is the receiving Velcro side. From reading the reviews on the Blackhawk harness before buying, I knew there would be a break in period for the shoulder pad part of the harness. I sped up the breaking-in process to 1 day by folding the pads in half and placing a 10lb dumbbell over the folded part to create the bend needed in the pad to roll across the shoulders and chest easier.Once that was broke in, I attached the belt with 2 points in the front (right front side just in front of my holster) and left front side behind my front handcuff case. Then I criss-crossed the back suspenders forming an "X" and attached them to be on each side of my spine. I kept the suspenders only attached to my outer duty belt, NOT inner belt because that will cause you to take FOREVER to use the bathroom. Keep the suspenders only attached to outer duty belt. I tucked the straps into my pant waist line since they are longer than what I needed (you could cut them too). I wear an outer/over vest carrier so it covered up the suspenders/harness really well. Once you adjust the straps where you need, it literally suspends the entire weight of the belt, especially the holster off of your hip! It instantly felt incredibly better. I bought these because my chiropractor noticed how badly my lower sacrum of my spine had been rotating from having uneven weight on one hip vs the other because of the gun side.I had bought the 5.11 zero g plates (carbon fibers plates $100) and they were awful and dug into my hips. This Blackhawk harness is for people with a smaller neck. I'd say if you're a big guy with a neck thicker than 17" collar, you probably won't like this particular model because of the extra shoulder padding. I'm extremely happy to have found this inexpensive solution to make my back feel better.

From the day 1 of opening the packaging, I’ve been using these suspenders for work everyday!!!I Love Them!!!If you’re a police office and you have back or hip issues... These suspenders are the best...!!!Only issue is that the shoulder harness blocks my star on my police shirt, but I was able to use my badge belt clip and clip my star onto the suspenders!Love these Suspenders!!!!

The system means to help a problem but in my opinion was not designed well at all. The shoulder straps are extremely thick. If you wear an outer vest it is too uncomfortable to wear at that point. Also the system has no flex and is very finicky to use. Also when I sit in my car with this system on it almost was choking me as the buckle that clips to your chest are will ride up. This could be great but it's not useable for most people. I am 511 and weigh approximately 180 lbs.

These suspenders were much stronger than I expected them to be. High quality product. I was very concerned with spending the money on these suspenders but honestly it was worth it. I was really impressed with sturdiness and overall quality of these suspenders. They also fit comfortably with other tactical gear on as well (vest, belt, holsters, etc.). Would definitely recommend.

Works great-a little stiff at first but forms to your body pretty fast. Don't worry about size I'm 240 and 6 foot this thing could fit a 400 plus pound 7 foot man. As in one review it is not to close to your neck they must not be wearing it right? No It doesn't come with the belt!

Looks good, feels good, but it came broken. Two of the belt connector pieces were just straight up broken. The bag it came in says that Amazon inspected it. Idk if their employees get insurance for optometry but it seems like they need it.

Good product. I only gave it 4 stars because the chest strap is a bit high so if you adjust the shoulder straps so that they evenly on your shoulder, the chest strap will but under your chin. It helps to have another person when making adjustments. Overall I would recommend this product if you carry a duty belt with weapons and mags for hours a day.

Bought for a police officer. Helps to hold belt weight up. They could feel the difference in their back & hips the first shift they wore it! Our great men & women of law enforcement have a hard enough job w/o the worry of back & hip pain. I would highly recommend these to anyone looks to redistribute the weight of the necessary tools our officers need at the ready!

Be aware that this doesn't include the belt showcased in the picture. The suspenders themselves are nice, but take a while to get used to. I also had to cut the strap that goes behind the shoulders as it was uncomfortable. With the modification, it's a nice load bearing system.

Excellent harness system for a timber fallers belt. The harness does not come with the belt as shown, but can order military tactical belts from many sites for around $20 to $30 dollars, which can easily clip on with the attached loop/clip system. A bit tight in the neck and the shoulder strap padding is a bit hard, but will soften with use over time. Solid product all around.

Returned item. Uncomfortable and makes you feel very ridged. Reality is that duty belts hurt your whole body. Load bearing vest is the only option left to try.

This thing is awesome. On my belt I put a Maxpedition 10x4 water bottle with a FULL Nalgene bottle in it, M1 Waist pack right full of stuff, 4x6 padded pouch as a butt pack and a KaBar Becker BK7. Awesome. Feels like nothing. You need a good stiff belt though. Looks bad ass too.

Wear them every day at work.Very comfortable and work great. Nice to keep the weight of the duty belt off your hips.
