Great minnow trap. Made with quality material. It will last decades. Easy to use.

This minnow trap is large, solidly made, not flimsy as some are. Only issue is that it is difficult to attach one to the other side. Usually we use a zip tie so that we dont lose one side if they come apart, but with this one, the center bands are too big to affix the zip tie between the latch teeth. We have about 6 minnow traps in the lake where there are cows and the plastic coated ones get stepped on and crushed, this one did not. We did however lose one side when the latch teeth came apart.

Easy to use, lightweight and size is perfect for the minnows I need to fish.

Works great for trapping minnows. I wanted it for trapping snakes. Caught only one.

I recently used a minnow trap and was amazed by its effectiveness. After enjoying a rotisserie chicken, I decided to put the remnants in the trap and set it out, deploying it by tying it to a 1/8 inch nylon rope at various depths. To my surprise, it caught a wide variety of fish species!I managed to catch mud minnows, baby sheepshead, shrimp, and several other types of fish. Interestingly, the depth floating at the surface caught the most fish. The trap worked exceptionally well, attracting and holding a diverse range of aquatic life.If you're looking for a reliable and effective minnow trap, this one does the job brilliantly. It's easy to use and delivers impressive results. Highly recommended for anyone needing a dependable way to catch various types of fish.

The trap looks cool. I put it together based on the sheet they include with the trap, fastened the closing pin and everything. I set this trap out overnight on my pond and when I went to retrieve it in the morning I only got one half of the trap back! Needless to say, I started bright and early at 6am in a pond up to my chest searching for the other half and I can't find it. So now I have half of a nice looking trap, I don't think that will get many minnows. 2 stars, would he 4/5 if the safety pin locked it together better and this actually last more than overnight. Might be good to tie your halves together.Updated: I got another brand of trap from the local outdoors store. It is the same diameter as this one with a clip just like this one too. I wasn't catching much with my trap so I tried putting bread and dry dog food in some nylon hose. I also took the remaining half of this trap and cut the entrance hole open to be about 1.5-2" diameter and then zip tied it to the half of my new trap. I finally started catching perfect bait size fish. A minor annoyance that I have to use zip ties to keep it closed, but o well. A pack of 100 zip ties is like $2 so no big deal here. Its a learning experience. Make sure you have the clip attached properly and it isn't bent out of shape. I am pretty sure my initial loss of half of this trap was due to the clip not being on there right. Hard to believe someone can mess up clipping something together but maybe it gets the best of us ;)
