Loads of worms, arrived super fast.
These came a lot faster than advertised. To the point that they arrived the next day, along with all the set up supplies I'd ordered (delivery estimate was 4-5 days later) so I didn't have time to get everything set up and ready for them. As a result these VERY active and healthy worms are trying to escape my 'too-new' wormery and I've had to take additional steps to contain them while the system gets started. Worth keeping in mind if you are setting up from scratch like me. However, the worms are very healthy, very active and there were absolutely loads in my packet. The bag does indeed have ventilation, loads and loads of tiny holes on all sides, see image attached. They smell fresh and clean, came in a decent amount of bedding for the number of worms and for the price I'm very impressed with the quality and quantity. Hopefully my wormery system will get settled soon and my worms will be happy for a long long time.

Consistently good worms.
I have used Yorkshire Worms a few times now for composting worms and for adding to indoor organic living soil beds and all the worms have been good quality. They are a bit sluggish when first exposed to the light but this is normal and just a bit of stress from their journey but I just put them on the soil or in a worm bin and cover them with a bit of cardboard and within an hour or two they have all gone under the surface and are soon at work producing that black gold we all love. They are posted in a box that fits through a letterbox so will not be left baking in the sun or dissolving in the rain on your porch when delivered which shows the seller thinks and cares for their worms. Yorkshire Worms is now my one stop shop for worms and they do more different types of worm than just the composting worms (red wigglers) that I buy. Good price and quick delivery. Highly recommended company with a good product that they care about.

I recreated the life-cycle
I keep and cultivate many, many plants. I spend a fortune on substrate etc so I thought, yeah I might not have a garden and yes I live in a top floor apartment but hey, I can still create my own mini composter. The worms were beautiful. Honestly, I never even thought about worms or their colour but these guys were so lovely with a strong stripe - does that matter worm people? Is that a good thing? Anyway they arrived on time and in sleep comas which is standard and were packaged with lots of care. I followed every single instruction from the seller but also from research I’d been doing for 3 months. I gave them a home and they seemed to thrive. Honestly, I think they multiplied. Sadly, due to me being an utter knuckle dragger, and ignoring advice I had heard repeatedly, I spotted the inevitable ‘little black fly’ I decided to rehome the worms. So I basically bought some worms (from a brilliant seller btw) to actually put them back in the earth from whence they came. I built a safe area in the surrounding tiny garden downstairs and put them into the soil. But I recommend this seller. Delivery was on time. They were better than described. Clear instructions and those boys were big and fat and became really active.

Big, strapping worms!
These were big, strong Yorkshire composting worms. Very impressive and now snugly in their new home enjoying fresh coir and damp paper and vegetables.

Tiny worms
The worms were tiny and smaller than I was expecting. Unsurprisingly, not all survived being packed into a small bag and box and sent through the post. As I am not willing to handle them I can’t say what proportion were still alive when I put them into my compost bin. I only know that it looked like a lot of them stayed where I had put them. After going back to check on them a number of times I gave them a decent burial in the compost bin.
