Personal Tea from the watercooler, wonderful
I am used to working from home where I can choose from a variety of teas, mugs, and ways to boil my water, but at the office, my options are more limited. I wanted to enjoy some tea and realized I'd need two things: a mug, and an infuser to hold the tea leaves. Guess what? They make a product that synergizes those two products, and here it is!Usage: couldn't be simpler.1) Put the tea leaves into the infuser cup. Done! Check out step 2, which is a choose your own adventure2)Do you want to put the infuser cup directly into your tea cup right away, and pour hot water directly over your leaves? Proceed to page 501. If you want to set your tea leaves and infuser aside, and fill up your tea cup with hot water, *then* bring it back to your desk and assemble the tea cup and infuser, proceed to page 253. If you are feeling brave, and are angry at your parents, turn to page 808.Page 253:Fantastic! No one was at the water cooler to prattle on about the big game this weekend. You just want your hot water and to GTFO. You cleverly and expertly fill your tea cup with hot water from the water cooler, and practically float your way back to your desk, where you assemble the remaining peaces of your tea masterpiece. You wait 3-5 minutes, then enjoy a rewarding, hot and delicious cup of tea. You win at life.Page 501:The idea of pouring hot water directly onto the leaves excites you. You know that this is the best way to unlock the secrets the leaves are holding. On your way to the water cooler, you brush past Bob's attempt to engage you in conversation--YOU ARE NOT WORTHY OF MY TIME, BOB! The goal is in sight, but someone else is lounging around the precious elixer; it's Linda, from accounting and she's known to ramble. Your nostrils flare as your pace quickens. Linda's eyes turn up from the floor to meet yours, her face clearly showing she does not understand what is about to happen. She begins to open her mouth as you stiff-arm her face, knocking her off balance, and into poor Gregg the intern. No time to admire your shot, you take your spoils and smell your concocted potion as it fills your brain with elation. You proudly walk back to your desk where your boss is waiting for you with a box. You're fired. Who cares? This tea is amazing.Page 808:"I don't need your stupid tea cup infuser combo! I'm a free spiriiiiiiii---" you fall down a deep, dark hole as soon as you entered the cave. Oh the folly of it all. If only you would have had that cup of tea instead. You would be much more alive, and much more satisfied. Also, your brother, PoopFace, died of dysentery. You smile at the irony with your last breath.

This Mug Makes for Happy Hippies
I drink a lot of smaller-leaf teas (like rooibos), and always ended up sucking a whole plant in with my beverage if I use anything other than a fillable bag to infuse my tea--no more! While this mug does still allow some small particles to pass into the main cup, they are few and far between--I can finally enjoy my tea at work without having to pick leaves out of my teeth every five seconds, which has removed the need for me to use wasteful disposable bags. All in all, this mug has made me a very happy hippie.

Perfect when I only need a single cup of tea!
I use this to make my herbal teas. In the past, I've used tea pots that either had a plastic or metal strainer. I've learned that the plastic strainer contains BPA, which is an endocrine distruptor that can mimic estrogen when it leaches into hot drinks. The metal strainer is safe, but it leaves my tea with a slight metallic taste. This is the perfect solution to both of the above problems. No BPA (because it's glass, not plastic), and it leaves the tea with no off flavors. Just clean and natural... the way I like it.I also like that it has a glass cover. When steeping herbal teas, some of the nutrients and/or medicinal qualities can be lost when the steam rises. The glass lid keeps both nutrients and medicinal properties in the mug -- until I'm ready to drink it.

Great! I ordered one as a gift for a friend, ordered one for myself, ordered another as a gift for another friend. Lovely design, strong (no worries about treating it gently), good for tea-leaves or tea-bags, and a great holder for tea & teaspoon after brewing. Only adverse comment: not quite large enough. If you use the lid after adding the water, you can't fill it without over-flow, so final result is 2/3 of a cup. However, I use mine daily -- I love it, 5 stars if it was just a tad bigger.

Yes, I was in love with it.
First of all, I love glass. I am trying to keep it well away from my husband and found a secure place of where to keep it. The handle does not get hot. And surprisingly indeed the infuser can be put into the upside down cover and will stay put (unless you shake it). I heat the water with the infuser inserted in the microwave, that way both get used to the hot temperatures. Be sure to put it on a wood or so trivet. Glass cannot be subjected to great SUDDEN temperature changes. I already own a glass teapot (Boden) which came with a cork trivet.

My favorite tea cup
I bought the 13 oz and 9 oz. cups. I love them both. It is great to see the tea steep to the way you like it. No guess work. Plus it is so clean and clear looking. I am so impressed with these tea cups. My cousin in Pennsylvania was so impressed she bought one for her office, home and summer home. Plus the tea pots. She thought they were just lovely. Elegant and perfect for making tea. The flavor of the teas are really delicious in these cups. No plastic or metal tastes to ruin the expensive green teas I enjoy. I can't than Grosche for designing these items. Everyone that comes to my home always make comments about them. And I bought extras for gifts for my friends. I will buy them again too. I am deeply impressed. I like the lid on the 9oz better because I can turn it over and place the infuser in it after it has steeped. The 13.5 oz has a knobby top and it does stand on its own to put the infuser in but is not very stable. But I still love it. I use a little dish to place the infuser part in when it is finishing steeping. Great Gift Item for the tea lovers in your life. EEE

Pleased with fast service.
This is a delicate glass. With that I get a great tea flavor. I chipped the infuser and ordered a new cup and infuser and with the fast service I was pleased to miss only a few days.

Delicate but beautiful and well designed tea cup
The tea cup includes the infuser so that you can make tea from just the leaves without being limited to the prepackaged tea bags. The lid is designed to be able to hold the infuser when you're ready to drink your tea. It feels great in your hands and it looks great on the table, especially when the tea is brewing. The only down side is that it's a little fragile feeling and the tea leaves can be difficult to clean out of the infuser when they get stuck in the little cracks.

Good infuser mug - Glass isn't weak as other comments suggest.
I wondered how the lid could be used as a trivet as it has a handle on it, the answer is simply that product isn't what I received. I have attached a photo of the item I received (sourced from the net) - this isn't a bad thing, I was wanting a mug with a lid that could be used a trivet. After reading the comments, I noticed people saying that the glass was frail.. Since the description states this was addressed at the end of 2012 and I haven't seen any recent comments about that I decided to buy the item. The quality is fine, it's simply a glass mug with a removable infuser. The reason for 4 stars is simply because the plastic insulator 'handle' doesn't really work and gets really hot so you may need to swap hands if your desk is far from your kettle.I would recommend thoroughly cleaning the product prior to use. Within mine it appeared to have lots of glass shavings - I don't actually know if they are glass shavings but they reminded me of the burrs from glass fibre hulls at a boat yard my Dad worked at when I was kid and it states they are hand made so it's possible.Tl;dr - The quality is fine and it doesn't feel frail, the only downside is the 'handle' part gets really hot which means you may need to swap hands on the way back to your desk - it's exactly what I wanted.

A real luxury!
I purchased this mug about two months ago and after using it almost every day I can say that it is a real luxury. The whole process is a delight, from infusing the tea and seeing the changes in colour, to the unspoiled flavor of the infusion, it all can be done easily and cleanly adding to the soothing experience of enjoying a cup of tea. In addition, the glass is of the right thickness, not too frail, not too grotesque. This infuser set is great as a present and, moreover, I would recommend it to any tea-lover looking for a method to prepare the perfect cup of tea.

Grosche Kent Infuser
I was expecting this product to be made of a strong Pyrex type material. However it is made of very thin glass. I managed to break the strainer part only on the second time I used it with a very slight accidental tap onto the kitchen worksurface.

Small but so personal.
Its a gift, there's no doubt about it. It is something you would not buy yourself, but it is welcome as a gift from another. I like it and use it often. Expect a small cup though.

tea you can see
looks great and you can enjoy the anticipation of the tea and its brewing - easy to use but the filter glass is thin and very fragile
