Fun, Affordable, Great Looking Lego A-Wing for Star Wars fan of any age!
I was looking for my next build and I came across this A-Wing set. I was intrigued by the low price (~$26) and the gorgeous look of the A-Wing. In particular, I really like the Resistance colors on this A-Wing versus the typical red one. The dark green with gold contrasts are really attractive. This is a 269 piece set and designed for ages 7+. I would say that going through this, it is fairly accurate requirement to build. Despite being only 269 pieces, the model is well scaled and proportioned correctly. It doesn't look awkward and immediately recognizable as an A-Wing.This set comes with some great "swooshability" and playability. It is very sturdy and holds up well to lots of movement. It has two spring loaded shooters with a 3rd extra in case one gets lost. The firing mechanism is cleverly hidden on the hull of the A-Wing and works VERY well. I don't have any issues with it jamming or getting stuck. The side cannons, cockpit, and landing gears are all moveable. In addition, the cockpit can securely hold a minifig.Speaking of the minifigs, the set comes with two extremely detailed characters, Snap Wexley and Lieutenant Connix. I really like the helmet on Snap Wexley, with his yellow see-through visor. As always, the printing and detail is excellent on the included figures. My daughter immediately stole the A-Wing from me when she saw it firing one of the shooters. We both find this set to be really fun to play with and display. This is one of those great sets from Lego that can appeal to a wide range for both children to have fun with or AFOL (Adult Fans of Lego) to display and add to their fleet of Star Wars ships.Overall, this set is a great value for the price. The minifigs are great, it displays well, plays well, and is a quick but fun build. Highly recommended! May the force be with you!

Great ship, great price.
I got this for myself, as I am an adult nerd, who loves star wars, legos and spaceships, but I don't feel like I can afford to spend lots of money on larger lego sets. This kit is great though. If you're looking for a lego spaceship to woosh around the room, it's a good fit for anyone short of small children (contrasting to larger lego spaceships that are too big, or sometimes a little too fragile to enthusiastically "fly" them around the house). If you're looking for a nerdly room decoration, it's a fine looking A-Wing, well proportioned to the ship as it appears in movies. As a toy it has some cool features too. The folding landing gear looks neat compared to how the older A-Wings that sat on their tail fins. The spring loaded missiles are a neat addition, and the launch buttons well hidden on the finished model (like you know where the buttons are, but they're not like a massive obvious tab). You can point the guns on the sides of the ship up and down like the "real" A-Wing too.The minifigs are neat. The pilot's helmet even has a little transparent bit that matches the visor on pilot's helmets in the movies. The non-pilot figure is a nice addition, she mixes well with some of the other rebel/resistance soldiers I have on my "shelf of nerd things"So in a nutshell it's a very nice A-Wing lego set for a whole 26 dollars. While it's smaller and less parts than some of the other Star Wars Lego sets, it feels like you get way more "ship" for your money than other choices. Highly recommended.

Birthday gift
Typical lego product. Overpriced. But kids enjoy.

Solid build
Basically the same build as the regular A-Wing fighter for the lego, thought it does have a few more stickers and I think the pilot's helmet is way better. I think the other figure is Billie Lourd's character but I can't remember. Side gun turrets aren't as detailed as the red A-Wing and this one has a green color scheme. Nice overall.

Under-rated model.
Firstly this is one of the best A-wing models for an extremely good price! My only major gripe is that the interior wasn't fleshed out. But being the lego nut that i an i made my own interior which it definitely gives you the room. The landing gear actually functioning is something you don't see on quite a few lego models such as the newest x-wing. If a smaller model like this can have one, the xwing definitely can. I will say that the colored bricks can easily color swapped (with a seperate purchase from bricklink of similar parts) for say red, or blue to give your a-wing a personal touch!
