I purchased the same pump from harbor freight. The box claims that it has a ceramic shaft but it's steel and the bearing on the impeller is plastic. It worked well until the shaft/bearing wore out. This would not have happened if it was actually ceramic. I'm leaving this because I am now online looking for ceramic replacement (or any) and can't find one.
