Excellent option to make your devices USB-C
I got htese after I learned the hard way you can't just splice 4-wire usb A into USB C and expect it to work for most cases. This works like a charm and they are easy to put together. Get these if you're trying to make cables for your devices / accessories to appear as a connected device on your computer

They just don't work
I've "repaired" three separate cables with these and none of them have worked with cell phones or tablets afterwards. One of the cables was a good cable I used as a test, and this repair kit didn't work with even it. Don't buy this!

Nice quality
These are great quality, durable and easy to solder. I ordered them for a laptop charger and found out very quick that they are most suited for a phone charger that doesn't require a 3rd wire computer control. Nice and easy to solder.

Very small and tedious soldering required.
Does exactly what it needs to do, but it requires soldering with no room for error.

Poor construction
Housing does not latch or securely fit together. In its final position, the housing overlaps the connector by about 3/4 (see image). The smaller piece fits nicely over the PCB, but when you slide the larger piece over it, it keeps going over the connector. The PCB is actually shorter than the picture, so maybe that's the reason for the overlap. I tied the wire in a knot before the strain-relief piece and super-glued the housing together to make it work.

bad casing system
the connector itself works great, however the shell that is supposed to protect the connector does not sit in the write place.

poor design
I might have a bad luck. Both circuit and housing do not work for me. don't even wanna try 2nd time. I'll scrap them all
