I've used soda stream for years. This is the best replacement for mine that hesitated a bit. Push a button-pick your preferred fiz option from three settings. This Soda Stream and it uses your counter outlet which made me hesitate however it is consistent and self operating. Push the button.. At first I hesitated. Now I am so happy I highly recommend this to anyone who loves to have the convenience of their own filtered water and ease of soda in your own home. This is the best soda stream E-DUO is great. Takes up little space. I can use use single glass bottle I received then fill my old fatter style bottles easily. Why would anyone not prefer their own filtered water and a Soda Steam?

This thing is cool! I've only had it for a few weeks but it works great. I can't testify to its durability because I have not had it long enough, but I have been using it twice a day since it arrived and I am still on the first cylinder using the middle level of carbonation. It really helps my program of hydration because it adds some zest to plain water.

The glass bottle has a plastic cap. I got it specifically to reduce plastic in my water and food. The glass bottle is great but I hoped that the cap would be metal with silicone gasket.

I was skeptical about this but it really is a much better solution than buying your own soda. You can make the 1L or so container in about 30 seconds, and it's a solid cost savings, especially in cities where a 2L bottle of soda is easily $3.49 or more. I got a diet caffeine free syrup on Amazon and had that shipped, and also got a sugar-free cherry syrup. It's a solid replacement for my Cherry Coke Zero habit which was both expensive and hard to fill since many grocery stores don't carry 2L bottle of that. Plus, that has caffeine, so being able to make a soda that's exactly what I want is great, and doesn't keep me up all night if I have a glass around dinner time. I've been using it for weeks and I'm still on my first bottle of carbonation. If you are even a mildly frequent soda drinker, take the plunge. It's very much worth it. You get to be sort of your own barista to get soda exactly as you like it, which is nice. Only mild issue is that a rear tab on the back fell off while pulling it out of the box, but it's not really a problem.
