As a home-schooler, I hadn't had the opportunity to take the AP course at a high school, but was familiar with the study of psychology. This book presented an excellently organized laundry list of EXACTLY what I needed to focus on and explained the topics quite well. It guided my research and pointed me in the direction of all the famous names that would appear. I used it as a spring-board to my Wikipedia explorations; if a topic wasn't covered very in-depth, I would often research it a little on my own to get a broader understanding. Most times, however, this wasn't necessary. In 2 months' study, I earned a score of 5. Absolutely worth it for Psych AP takers! Review: AMAZING - I absolutely love the crash course books! I studied for the exam the night before by reading this book cover to cover and when i took the exam the next day it was a piece of cake. The book emphasized certain points and sure enough they were on the exam the next day word for word! Dont waste your time with other review books, this is the book to get for AP Psychology.

Great study material
I didn't review as much as I probably should have for this test but this book was very helpful when I did. My teacher recommends it to all her students and I can see why. It is very good as summarizing topics while still explaining the details you need to know. I would recommend this book if you're looking for additional study materials.

Easy to read in a short amount of time.
I was able to read through this book in about three days and found it pretty enjoyable. It's really straightforward and was a great refresher; however, I wouldn't rely on this alone to study for the AP test. It's a good idea to go through your old notes and vocabulary, and MAKE SURE YOU PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS. On the AP test, I was able to fly through the multiple choice, but on the free response, I was absolutely lost. I had no idea what the "overjustification effect" or the "central route to persuasion" was (go to the 2013 free response and you'll see what I'm talking about). These terms were not even in my textbook, much less in this book, but that isn't the book's fault. I ended up getting a 4 on the exam.

Great Study Tool
What I loved the best about this book was that it covered everything you needed to know for the AP test without being too overwhelming. The AP Psychology test was probably the easiest AP for me because the AP class was easy for me as well, but this is a great reference tool for class quizzes and tests as well.

Absolutely Recommend
This is a great condensed version of AP Psychology. It includes many helpful reminders of material to know for the exam and my students said it helped them tremendously on the exam.
