World's First Ranch-style Home
This is an amazing book about Frank Lloyd Wright's many projects in Buffalo, NY. The Darwin Martin House is my favorite, and though it was an early "Prairie-Style" home, it was based on a plan published in 1901 in Ladies Home Journal, the very first ranch-style house ever. The book is full of photos, drawings, and maps to help the reader visualize each building, the landscaping, and the furnishings, some designed by FLW himself. If you like architecture or Frank Lloyd Wright, you'll love this book!

Wright's work in Buffalo, a comprehensive overview.
Quinan is certainly the right person to provide the documentation and this is the best and, I believe, the only comprehensive look at every work that Wright engaged in in Buffalo. There are other books that deal with certain works in much more detail and Quinan provides a complete bibliography. If there are some shortcomings, it is the size of some of the drawings which makes them rather useless because it is impossible to study them closely and the nature of the text which is rather perfunctory and descriptive with little analysis.Still, it is the best general overview of a long and substantial body of work by Wright that is, for the most part, little known and underappreciated.

Frank Lloyd Wright's Buffalo Venture
Another well written book by author and architectural historian Jack Quinn. The vivid text, drawings and photiographs well describes the great buildings that Wright contributed to the Buffalo architectural landscape. The book was not only informative about the buildings, some of which have been lost, but it also gave a glimpse into the lives and personalities of the clients who made them possible.

Very well written
I am still reading this book, but am enjoying it immensely. I am a big Frank Lloyd Wright fan, this gives me real insight into one of his earliest Prairie buildings.

Superb book about the works of America's greatest architect in Buffalo or having a Buffalo connection
Superb book about the works of America's greatest architect in Buffalo or having a Buffalo connection. Highly detailed and deeply researched. It is more of a scholarly book than a coffee table book.

Wright's time in Buffalo is not as well known as it should be - this book is very well-written and informative. Highly recommended.
