Immediately I fell in love with the thing
First lets start by saying that I have being a loyal Apple customer owning almost everything from their 27" Inch iMac, iPhones, to their iPod nano. However, I hadn't fall into the temptation of buying an iPad just until a year ago. Immediately I fell in love with the thing, is the first thing I check or grab when I wake up, and the last I put away when going to bed. Ive never used it for nothing more than watching Youtube, checking news, browsing facebook mostly. However in a trip that I made recently I found myself writing some emails and even word docs on it, and found it a little bit annoying to do write long texts with the on-screen keyboard. Then a friend of mine borrowed me Bluetooth keyboard that he has, and really I didn't like it because it was inconvenient for it size when taking it along in a backpack or messenger bag around the city or a trip. Then I saw the advertisement for this one and really and purchased it... and have used it for about one week, and is really and amazing product... the pairing with the iPad/iPhone is a breeze, and the the fact that it folds and become a compact thin package is excellent for taking it around along with the iPad. I can type and conveniently switch between my iPad and iPhone if necessary. Also I just purchased an Nexus 6P smartphone, which I can also pair to this keyboard since it supports both IOS and Android. Conclusion, is a useful, compact, versatile add on to you iPad/Tablet experience if you are a person that types long texts... fully recommend it.

Beautiful, perfectly designed product.
This portable keyboard works really well and is so much smaller than my other keyboard, which was an Apple wireless keyboard. • Perfect for work travel. • Totally compatible with a wide range of iOS devices • Two separate blue tooth keys- so can sync to either device easily and quickly. • The volume keys work with iPad. • It’s just amazing that Microsoft can make such a nearly perfect device. It seems like something Apple would have come up with themselves. • Can type almost as fast on it as a “real” keyboard. • So small and portable. • Very Smart Keyboard layout. • Enough travel in the keys to feel “real.” • Easy to charge with the standard micro-SB- no proprietary cables or dongles. • Lights to show connection, battery charge, and whether caps are locked. • Immediate connection to last synced device when you open it. • Nice magnet to hold it closed- a satisfying “click” when it’s closed • High quality construction- this is designed for people that care about quality Best device I’ve bought in a very long time. Just amazing that Microsoft designed this.

Probably the best BT keyboard I've used in years.
Remarkable bluetooth keyboard. I travel a lot and I only carry a laptop using my Samsung Galaxy Tab to work on. I tried several BT keyboards but they all had issues such as being too small, or keys would go dead. This Microsoft keyboard works really well. For a thinn keyboard, the keys have a lot of travel, like a regular keyboard, and it feels right. The size seems to be the same as a full size board. The split in the middle does take some getting used to, of course, if you are used to stretching across to reach the T, Y, or U keys, but then again, it's not hard to train out of it. I did learn typing way, way, way back in junior high school, and I have some familiarity with "proper" typing. What I really like is when paired with the Samsung tablet, I can wake it up with a key press and start typing which is handy. I don't know if all tablets have the functionality. I also haven't paired it with more than one device. The keyboard folds up nice and small and can fit in a small bag or for women, a purse. The downside, and I knew this when I bought it so I didn't knick a star, is that since it's folding, you need a stable surface to work on. You can't rest it on your lap with out a solid surface. That makes using it at conferences or on planes (only when I get upgraded to 1st!) with split tables impossible. Android users: One thing I noticed when I use Swiftkey as my soft keyboard I had to disable it when using the Microsft keyboard. There is a wierd interaction where the cursor will jump around the page so you start typing one place and next thing you know, you're typing somewhere else. Very frustrating. It's an issue with Android and/or Swiftkey since it doesn't happen with the stock soft-keyboard.

Well designed, light, sleek, portable. Great keyboard if you don't want permanent bulk of a keyboard case.
Very thin, lightweight keyboard. Pairs easily. Switching between devices is 1 click, I like that it's multi-platform compatible (windows, android, iOS). Does take a little time to get used to key spacing. I use my iPad Air2 mostly for personal use and more rarely for work (note taking during meetings and business conferences). Because I would only rarely use a keyboard, I didn't want a keyboard case that would permanently add bulk to my iPad. This is a great alternative: a keyboard that's small and light enough to toss into a bag and use only when you need it. Definitely easier to use if you're a good typist. I realized that I had some idiosyncratic typing habits (would use my right index finger to reach the "B" key, but it's on the left side of this split keyboard). So in that sense, if you just want to type, it would be irritating. However, I'm OK with the compromise. Some pros: dedicated device switching buttons, volume controls and mute, rewind/forward/play/pause buttons, lock button, "search" button, home keys. Battery life seems to be as good as advertised. I've only charged it once since I purchased it a few weeks ago. Some cons: can't use in your lap - needs to be on a flat surface. Some might find keyboard spacing and the gap in the middle irritating. No dedicated "Fn" keys - there's a combined "Fn / Cmd" button that, presumably, would be used with the number keys. I don't use these anyway, so it's not an issue for me.

As a student that travels to and from school, having a keyboard this light and thin is indispensable. It's a huge bonus as well that it folds to close as this protects the keys without needing to purchase an extra case to keep it safe. It also connects to two devices, for either Windows, Android, or Apple devices. It has working keyboard shortcuts for both Windows and Apple (haven't tested Android). There was a slight adjustment period as there is an empty space at the fold dividing the keyboard in half, but I'm able to type just as fast as I could on my other keyboards within a couple hours of using it. The only downside is that there isn't a light to tell you the battery level and when it's fully charged when plugged in. When I first received it, I had to charge it for a couple hours to have it charged completely, but the battery is supposed to last for 6 months before needing a re-charge.
