Zippo Pocket Lighters

I bought this lighter the month is released 5 years ago. It was my first zippo and I loved how classy it looks. I fell in love immediately with the brass finish and venetian patterns. People always comment on it (at least when I smoked) and asked how old it was. Definitely a nice one to piece, and still available and affordable. Would buy again/ 10. I originally bought this exact same lighter when I was visiting London about 10 years ago, but unfortunately it was stolen from me when my house was broken into. Being my favorite lighter I was pretty bummed and decided to look around online to see if I could find another like it. I found this one which is identical to the one I had and although it wasn't the same one it still helped me get over it being taken. This lighter is absolutely beautiful. The brass glows like gold and my favorite part is that it has a brass tube inside it as well. It's an awesome lighter and I always get complements on it.

THIS IS BY FAR, MY BEST ZIPPO PURCHASE EVER! THE CLASSIC VENETIAN CASINO INSPIRED DESIGN IS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. THE DESIGN IS ON THE LIGHTER CASE ITSELF WHICH HAS A HIGH POLISH BRASS FINISH. THE DESIGN IS ON BOTH SIDE (FRONT & BACK) OF THE LIGHTER. THE FRONT SIDE HAS A BLANK SPACE FOR ONE TO ENGRAVE THEIR NAME OR INITIALS WHICH I PERSONALLY FEEL IS COOL. USING IT SINCE A WHILE, AND I MUST SAY - THE BRASS LOOKS TOO GOOD AFTER ITS STARTS TARNISHING. THIS LIGHTER HAS A LOT OF CHARECTER AND WILL SURELY STAND OUT. NOTHING COMES EVEN CLOSE ! A MUST HAVE FOR SERIOUS ZIPPO GUYS. I WOULD GIVE IT 6 STARS ON A SCALE OF 5. THE ULTIMATE . CHEERS

It's so beautiful. The jeweler who engraved my husband's initials was impressed with the beauty. I bought a lighter like this many years ago. My husband lost it while fishing and thought he'd never have a nice lighter again. He loved it then and loves it now.

I was tempted to write a bad review when I first opened this but decided to be proactive before jumping to conclusions. Pictures are deceiving, but.... not necessarily lies. Upon first receiving this lighter (Brass Venetian) I was pretty disappointed, I have a “classic” slim Venetian with deep engraving work and a nice weathered look but I was hoping for the full size accompaniment to it. I did not receive that, instead I got what looked like a polished silk screened knock off of what I had hoped for. But not quite, while upon first looks it will look like a cheap silk screened knock off, I’m assuming they now use a laser for engravings, after a couple days of rubbing with some salt, vinegar, polishing compound, and scotch brite, it looks like a whole “new” lighter. Overall satisfied, personally I would hope for a deeper engraving on the case but it satisfies for now, maybe a couple more dips in salt and vinegar will etch it better but pretty happy with my product, and obviously it’s a classic zippo so functions just like you want, lights every time.

I used to have a brass one of these. One of my favorite lighters ever. So I ordered this thinking it's the same engraved lighter. IT IS NOT! It is like Lazer zapped and all rough, not smooth like the actual engraved one. The silver one is a Vietnam war era zippo in my collection. Pretty disappointed actually. Also there is like brush marks on the casing straight out of the box. Like a bunch of mini scratches and not from a buffing wheel. I know, I am a knife maker. I know how to make metal shine properly. Zippo used to as well....

As my zippo collection forever grows, I realized that I didn't have a brand new (current year version) brass Venetian. And definitely not one that I would carry without worry of wear and tear or dreaded drops. Many (unfortunately) new zippos are hit or miss on quality. However the new (D 21) brass Venetian is definitely a nice piece for the price and it will be my edc for awhile. The engraving isn't as good as the older model Venetians. But the build quality, at least on my particular piece is everything I expect from zippo. Whether it be a gift, a new carry zippo, a start to a collection or an addition to your current. From someone who is nearing 200 zippos, I definitely recommend this one.

A decent little lighter, I lost my old zippo and the 2 days I was without it were pure hell. I've checked for any signs that it's a forgery, just in case, and I can confirm that I'm pretty sure it's a GENUINE zippo lighter. Just in case you were wondering how to check for a forged Zippo I'll post a few simple points: 1. Dull flat click. When you open and shut your Zippo it should have a nice echoey ping. 2. Brass pins. A genuine Zippo will not have brass pins through the thumbwheel and the lock connecting the insert to the case. 3. Obviously the price, this is pretty much the RRP for a cheap Zippo. Fakes will be cheaper. You can also check when your Zippo was made by looking on the bottom of the case. The letter on the left will indicate the month (A is Jan, B is Feb etc.) And then the year is on the right. Mine is Jan 2010. The month and date will also be on the insert (don't worry if the date on the insert doesn't match the date on the bottom, they are often made at different times). Would Definitely recommend! 10/10 =]
