Review: Versatile & Cheap! - I primarily purchased this product to use on the surface of the tub to help prevent my toddler from slipping while getting in and out. We tried multiple bath mats, but they would never stick properly to the surface of our tub. These are thick, very sticky, and have a soft, yet effective, texture to them. They are also durable. I ended up finding several other uses for them. My favorite use for these thus far is the steps on a wooden "toddler tower" that likely prevented many falls. The surface of the stairs and tower is a smooth wood, which my son had slipped on multiple times while going up and down. He hasn't slipped due to the surface since I applied these. Note: I cut them into 3 inch strips and trimmed the edges to make them round (prevent them from rolling up) when I applied them to steps. I staggered them on the steps. My method was not the most aesthetically pleasing, but it made them more safe. For the tub, I trimmed the edges the same way, but I did long strips and applied them at a slight angle.

It does lose its sheerness after awhile with dirt accumulating around it. As for the claim of leaving no residue, yes it won't if you stick them on and then peel them off right away. I had a strip that was peeling off due to abuse after being left for more than a week. That strip left pretty sticky substance that will go dark if not cleaned. All I need to do was use soap and paper tower and some water to scrub it out and it does got cleanly off after a good scrubbing. Overall, I like this product.

**Q: Can I put this in the back of acrylic ruler for sewing to keep the fabric not slide? Will it damage fabric?**
A: I do not think it would hurt the fabric. It’s not that kind of Grip

**Q: Could this work to encircle a slippery coffee traveling mug?**
A: I believe it would, get wider than one inch

**Q: do they have em in black**
A: I have no idea. I needed it for outdoor trek stairs. The transparent tape had dirt all along the edges, and the edges curled up and the tape cracked within a year. I had to take it off and clean the adhesive off, and find another product. I do not know if they have it in black.

**Q: Could this be used on a handrail?**
A: I cannot imagine it working. I have it on outdoor trek steps. It is staying after several months, but I can't say for how much longer, as they are lifting in areas.  Good luck!!

This is what it says it is - clear, non-slip, provides protection for the surface underneath, good adhesion but easy to unstick and reposition. I’ve used it to line the interior of my car doors and lift gate where the dogs like to stand to look out the window or scratch when they get excited. Also along the bottom of the doors where steel-toed boots kick the sides. Best thing I’ve found for protecting the plastic and leather upholstery from damage. Fairly easy to cut to size and apply.
