jane iredale Absence Oil Control Primer (Absence 1)

I am almost 50, but still have very oily skin, large pores, some uneven skin tone and of course some wrinkles. My worst problem is that I could never find a foundation, powder or primer that did not darken several shades and turn slightly orange. I am very fair, so the darkened makeup was very obvious and looked terrible. I tried more brands than I can remember, but this is the only one I have found that primes my skin well, wears great and prevents my makeup from darkening. Love this stuff!!

Made my face too white. Did not work. Waste of money

Great oil control and primer all in one. Evens out your skin tone while truly controlling oil. I've used it with a brush and with the sponge, using a little or a lot, and it works with even a thin application. A thicker application helps conceal larger pores, but you use it up faster, too. Wish it wasn't quite so expensive, which is what prompted me to experiment with using a lighter application--to make it last as long as possible. My skin gets super oily in the summer and this works better than anything I've found.

This is a very good primer. I LOVE that it is not slick, which is my main complaint about most primers. This does take a bit of getting used to, however, since a little goes a long way. And I don't have to use it everywhere. Like all Jane Iredale products, it is good for the skin. I've been using nearly all Jane Iredale products for about 6 months, and the difference in my skin is remarkable. It just looks healthier. This primer takes a bit of getting used to because it isn't as simple to use as other primers I've used. But it works well, isn't made of any slick or slimy ingredients, and does hold my makeup on well without changing the color of it. What else can I ask? Oh, it does have a floral-y smell that I'm not fond of, but it dissipates quickly.

JI's products are cruelty-free and this is the main reason I've bought them, though to be quite frank, in this case, I feel that the primer does little to nothing to make makeup last longer. I will not purchase it again.

This is a great for highlighting but I think its making me break out (I'm super sensitive however).

I love this primer! It's great for oily skin and helps even out skin tone when I put it on. The best thing about this primer is that it doesn't use silicon like all the primers! For those of you who are having a hard time keeping it clean, I recommend that you don't use the sponge. It gets the primer dirty and wastes the product. I use my hands and it works great.

No, nothing good to say and a waste of money. When it claims to help oily skin, and does nothing of the kind-that is false advertising. I would like a total refund.

Chalky and cakey, and leaves your face white. sets really waxy and hard before you have a chance to even it out. does keep shine at bay but not for a full working day. not really worth the cost.
