Knape & Vogt180WH 12'' Shelf Bracket

So I have an old house that already had the shelf system in laundry room when we bought it. The big box brackets didn't work. Found these online and they looked like what we had. So happy when they fit. Saw another reviewer that said you needed to lift up slightly when placing and then bring bottom in pushing in on bottom [there's a small tooth, for lack of a better word, in the middle of the bottom of bracket, this helps it lock in place) . I followed their directions and it took me several tries to get it to catch but finally was able to. Thank you to that reviewer. No need for hammer just push in straight to get that "tooth" to catch

I am surprised that this expensive single shelf bracket is so weak and poorly designed.

Arrived in perfect condition, fast and easy to install. So happy I didn't have to go to that orange box store!

Packaging should note that you have to hammer in each bracket slightly in order to secure it. Otherwise the bracket will not support a load and the shelf,bracket and load will fall at you.Pretty dangerous.

Bracket hooks did not work for me. I returned the products. It is a nice product. Just did not work for me in the bracket holder that I have. I wish it would have. I will keep looking.

Just what I was looking for to add to an existing arrangement of shelves. I don't know why they are no longer featuring this style of shelf bracket in the hardware stores. It is much more stable than what you can find now.

Has sides so the bracket doesn’t sway side to side. Recommended.
