This ingenious little device saved me tons of money and trouble!!! Wow!!!!
In my home our internet router is in the living room. A few years ago I had painstakingly wired a 50 foot Ethernet cable from our living room to my bedroom where I have a PC, a Tivo and a television with an Amazon Fire Stick -- all of which require a fast, stable internet connection in a location where the wireless signal is weak. Then a couple of months ago the clip broke off the Ethernet cable in my bedroom where I had it plugged into a splitter for my various devices. It was just plain not practical to rewire a whole new 50' cable through walls, etc. I had tried all sorts of things to hold the cable connection in place using everything from a matchstick to putty, and nothing held it in place for very long. Then I spotted this "RJCLIP - Broken RJ45 Connector Solution." I couldn't believe that somebody had come up with such a simple, elegant and inexpensive solution to the exact issue I was having. It took me literally less than 30 seconds to connect the clip and plug it into my splitter... and it works absolutely perfectly to hold the Ethernet cable in place with no signal loss at all. It's a lifesaver! It's rare to find such an easy solution to a seemingly large problem. I'd give this little gizmo ten stars if I could! It made my life so much easier. Thank you!

Saved me $35 in less than 10 seconds
When the RJ45 connector on my CAT 8 broke I was not a happy camper. As the hardwire connector for my ZOOM laptop I can't deal with lost connections when a connector slips out of socket.Initially I immediately ordered a new cable and placed some tape on the broken one to hold it in place. The new cable cost $35 and I felt that was a bargain at the time. While I was waiting for the new cable I was looking on line to see if anyone repaired connectors on my otherwise perfectly good CAT 8 cable. That's when I came across the RJCLIP.I was a little bit skeptical at first but decided to give it a try. When the RJCLIPs arrived, I was thinking well, maybe this is a good idea, but...I followed the easy installation instructions and plugged my cable back in and Voila! I'm back in business with my "broken" CAT 8 cable firmly in place.A simple solution that works and can save you BIG BUCKS!

This actually solved a problem!!!
I cant give it 5 starts b/c you do have to push down on the arm on the clip in order to insert it into a number of RJ45 ports. Very little inconvenience. Once it is inserted, the clip is secured into the port and the cable works like it should. The clip is not friendly to some ethernet cables that come w/ a boot so you may have to do some cutting. After you take the boot off; the clip is easy to install, and problem solved!!! GREAT alternative to buying a RJ45 crimping tool which can be pricey depending on your budget. Also, you have to know what you are doing when crimping. This item avoids all of that. This here is genius at work.

Ethernet Cable Saver
The clip on my 100 ft Ethernet cable broke off, a cable that runs through a wall and connects to an Ethernet hub that supplies internet to multiple devices. The cable was held in place using black electrical tape but it would come loose when I moved my modem. I came across the RJCLIP and it works great and looks neater.

Fantastic Fit (Make Sure You Evaluate Ethernet Head and Shave Down Plastic If Necessary)
I bought this after carefully reviewing the details of what kinds of people were having issues with it to determine if it was a quality issue or a user issue. Turns out, for the most part, it was user-related as in there was a lack of common sense to shave down or cut plastic on the head of their ethernet cords to make this fit. It was perfectly snug and clicked right into the hole upon testing it. I recommend that if you buy it, before purchasing actually determine if your cable is physically impossible to use with it by viewing if the plastic tab is fully gone where this would rest (see pic) or if you have a very strangely shaped ethernet head where it wouldn't work at all even if you shaved some of the plastic down to make it fit. I will definitely buy more if I need more from this vendor. Hope this helps you make an informed decision to know if this is right for you. 99% of the ethernet cords will fit this and chances are you don't have a special cord.

Didnt work on 2 different cables
The Ethernet connector clasp breaking is the bane of my network maintenance. Probably over 50% of the problems I see are a connector coming loose because the latch was brokenI was excited to try these from my broken cables but was quickly dissapointed. I tried these on a couple different cables and they would not grab the body to hold the connector up against the mating socket. Also even if successful with it holding on the body, the latch seems to big and an odd angle to properly connect and latch.

These are great!
Took a bit of time to realize that it has a different configuration then an original ethernet clip, but works great.

Didn't work as shown.... maybe every situation is different, but I found them frustrating and unworkable
