Air 10 and S9 series PAP devices operate from 24V and the Freedom and C-100 CPAP Batteries operate from 12V direct current; therefore, a power converter is required. This 24V power converter provides a clean, efficient conversion from 24V to 12V direct current allowing you to use the Freedom or C-100 CPAP Batteries to power your Air 10 or S9 series PAP device.SpecificationsInput: 12V DCOutput: 24V/3.75A (max)Length: 60” (end to end)Weight: 4 ozWarranty: 1 year

Great Power Converter
I was looking for a 12V DC to 24V DC converter when I found this item. The description is very confusing because it says it converts from 24V to 12V. My ResMed S9 uses 24V DC power, so I wasn't convinced that this product would work until I read several reviews. This converter actually converts 12V DC to 24V DC for use with some ResMed CPAP devices. The description needs to be corrected to avoid confusion. The connection instructions should read as follows:1. Turn on the battery.2. Plug in the converter to the battery.3. Plug in the extension cable to the other end of the converter.4. Plug in the extension cable to the CPAP device, which should now be supplied with power and turn on.After using the device for the first night, I turned off the battery and unplugged the extension cable from the converter. The second night, I turned on the battery (which supplies power to the converter first), then plugged in the extension cable (which was already plugged into my CPAP device) to the converter and the CPAP device powered on as expected. Easy peasy.I bought the TalentCell 12V battery (TalentCell Rechargeable 72W 132WH 12V/11000mAh 9V/14500mAh 5V/26400mAh DC Output Lithium Ion Battery Pack For LED Strip and CCTV Camera, Portable Li-ion Power Bank, Black) to use with this power converter and they work perfectly together. This battery is $65 and it powers my CPAP for about 17 hours, or 2 1/2 nights of sleep for me without the humidifier or heated hose. I have Expiratory Pressure Relief enabled on my S9. There's absolutely no need to spend upwards of $300 for a battery when there are many other choices for less than $100. TalentCell even makes a 3x+ larger capacity battery, which is only slightly larger in size than the one I bought, for $90. This larger one may supply power for a week before recharging is necessary. I opted for the smaller one for motorcycle travel and camping.I am very pleased with this product and look forward to using it while camping and during power outages at home due to thunderstorms knocking out power transformers in the spring and early summer. It is nice to have peace of mind that I'll be able to breathe comfortably while I sleep with this setup in the event of a power outage.

Camping with my CPAP - what a joy!
The power supply works flawlessly off of a deep-discharge 12 volt battery, whether it's in my bedroom during a power outage, or out in the woods in a tent. I highly recommend it. I can now go camping again, what a joy! The photo was taken in the woods of Relay State Forest, near Roxbury, New York. My CPAP unit, a Resmed Airsense 10, was still attached to the power supply and the battery, after I detached and stored the air hose and mask. I was waiting for the Airsense 10 to report in to the Resmed web site before I took off the power supply and finished putting everything away. As long as there's a cell signal when I go camping, it reports in.

A must have...
Great backup for resperonic machine, you will need plenty of power on the battery in order for this to work. Give it a few minutes to power up to the 24v needed to run the machine though before powering up. This is a great option for backup in power outages. All these machines should have this option with them. But the manufacturers never put this with these medical devices. They never think of what could happen if we don’t have a backup..

Worked for the Resmed S9
Worked well for the Resmed S9. Couldn't get it to work reliably with the humidifier on, but we were camping, so not a significant issue. It seemed to stop working after several minutes if the humidifier was on. When the humidifier was turned off, there were no issues. Paired this with the following battery: (imuto 182Wh 50000mAh Portable Power Station Camping Generator 8-Port DC 5V/12V/19V Output, sold by imuto), and I got three nights of battery using this converter.

24V Power Converter for Air 10/S9 Series and Freedom or C-100 CPAP Battery Review.
The plug does not fit the Air 10 CPAP machine. It looks similar and can be inserted into the female connector at the back of the machine, however it does not supply power to the machine. The plug fits poorly. The connector for the S9 machine does fit, but not as securely as the original equipment plug. The S 10 plug fits well enough to make contact and power the machine. I have both machines, and Air 10 and an S9. This converter kit is not the same high-quality as the C-100 battery pack I had purchased earlier."If you purchase this converter kit be sure it fits before you have a power failure and are forced to use it. I made the mistake of not trying it out when I first got it. Luckily I had my old S9 CPAP to fall back on"Verified Purchaser.

Get the actual OEM Resmed 37297
Doesn't work. LED lights up on the adapter but nothing happens on my ResMed AirCurve 10. The output plug feels very loose compared to the original AC adapter. Get the actual OEM "Resmed 37297 Air10 DC-DC Converter". Amazon's doesn't have them on Prime at the time of this writing (April 2018), but they're widely available for about $85, less if you look around. Worked great for a year
No problems. It works. Plug the adapter into the battery first and then into the S9. Otherwise it won't work.UPDATE: After a year of working well, the fan started making noise. It wasn't too bad at first, just a kinda loud hissing fan noise. I got used to it. But it gradually got worse. Now there's a louder more disturbing noise. Kind of a bearing noise. Now, it doesn't last more than a couple of minutes, but lately it's getting longer and louder. I replaced it with the ResMed brand converter. I just got it, so we'll see if it works better. It doesn't have fans, so I won't have that problem. It costs about the same as this unit.
