Govee LED TV Backlights APP Controlled

Just had to share my thoughts on the Govee TV LED Backlights – they've been a real game-changer in my home entertainment setup! The setup was surprisingly easy. The adhesive is strong, and the instructions are straightforward. Not only do these backlights add a cool visual effect, but they also help reduce eye strain when I'm watching TV in a dark room. What I really love is the ability to customize the lighting. Using the Govee Home app, I can pick from a whole bunch of colors and even sync the lights with what's happening on my TV screen. It's made my viewing experience so much more immersive. Setting timers and creating custom scenes is a nice touch too. And when I don't want to use the app, the included remote control is super handy. I can change colors, adjust brightness, or just turn the lights on and off with ease. They seem well-made, sticking securely to my TV without any problems. The cable clips that come with them are a nice bonus for keeping everything neat and organized. If you're thinking about sprucing up your TV setup, the Govee TV LED Backlights are definitely worth considering. They offer a ton of customization, are easy to use, and really enhance the whole viewing experience. I'm quite impressed!

LED light strips are like the thing now! So I had to get some for my setup. For this particular product, the strips came with like extra length cables that don't have LEDs on them (as some of the other reviewers have mentioned). Putting them on my 27 inch PC monitor, the LED parts fit perfectly. I just put some cable organizers on the back of my monitor and used those to keep the strips from flapping around or showing. I also love these strips because they allow you to bend/fold them at corners so they can show off the light all angles and corners. The Govee is also very easy to use and pretty responsive. The only thing that sucks is that I ordered another Govee light strip (different product since I needed something to fit my TV, so I used the "Govee 32.8ft LED Strip Lights Works with Alexa"), but the two lights, at the same setting, do not match each other (see pics). The Govee app allows you to connect multiple, separate light strips to the app and use the Scene mode to control them both simultaneously, but the colors were a bit off :( Otherwise, great product! Would buy again to set up for my living room and may set up my little brother's room to be like mine.

First, I’d like to say that the product I received was already opened by someone else before I received it. I’m guessing someone returned it and it was sent out by mistake as a “New” product without being properly checked first. The mounting screws that were supposed to be included per the instructions were missing from the mounting hardware package (which as torn open). Honestly, I wasn’t going to use the screws at all so I didn’t bother with the hassle of trying to return the product when everything else in the box was intact and in working order. Now, for the review of the product itself. Pros: -Easy to install. I did it by myself in less than 15 minutes. - It adds a fun pop of color to your evening/late night TV watching. - Would make an excellent night light in kid’s rooms or your own. - The price is reasonable compared with other LED light strip brands - The in-line remote is a nice touch to let others have basic control of the light strip functions without needing access to the app. - The app is easy to use. So easy, my 4 year old figured it out in about 20 seconds. Cons: - Even with access to the color wheel in the app, many of the colors look almost indistinguishable from each other when displayed by the light strip. So, saying that it’s capable of all these millions of colors is a bit inaccurate. - The paint color of your walls may affect the way the colors appear. Unless you have plain white walls, some colors may not appear the way you would like them to. - The light strip is too small to wrap all the way around larger TVs. We have a 58” TV and I was about to put 2 light sections across the top and one section going down each side. This means there’s virtually no light at the bottom of the TV. Some people might find that a bit frustrating as the light doesn’t exactly “frame” the TV, but for me I find that it doesn’t highlight the fact that we have some messy looking cables hanging down. - They include ONE tiny alcohol swab to clean the entire surface you plan on sticking the light strip to. Sorry, but 2 or 3 should be the minimum here. - The only way to get these lights to sync with sound is to leave the app open in microphone mode close enough to whatever sound you’re wanting it to sync with. Overall, my husband and I decided that we could have lived without these. But our little one really enjoys getting to pick the colors out when we sit down to watch TV as a family at night, so that makes it a “worth it” purchase in our opinion.

These monitor / tv backlights emit a beautiful combination of RGB colors! The strips’ white colors are perfect, and it’s super bright! Once you connect them to the app, it has hundreds of settings to choose from. If you’re looking for great RGB lighting, not only do the Govee strips look amazing, but they are also very affordable!

I installed on the back of my 55" TV and not thinking about it, started down one side, then across the bottom. By the time I got to going up the other side, I realized for the 55" TV I should have installed them more in the center area of the TV so I could make one big square. The TV was already mounted on to the wall, so I have no strip running against the top of the TV now. More of a U shape, but I feel the lights still look good on there. If I hadn't been so far into it, I would have removed and reapplied, but for this purpose and how cheap they were, I don't mind it being like this. Turning the lights to blue really looks nice as well. This is the second set of this brand I have used and the app is always so easy to use. For the TV, I just let them turn on with it. Would recommend, but would also suggest laying them out first before sticking them to a TV or monitor to get the layout you prefer.

Excelente producto. La app muy fácil de instalar y muy amigable. Recomiendo ampliamente. Solo hasta tv de 60 pulgadas para abajo.

Not bad

Initially the brightness was good and slowly it started reducing and now it’s hardly even noticeable.

Useless product, stopped working from day one. And then you can't replace it.

This product is not bright enough and all the LEDs have huge gaps in between and thereby reducing the light emission. There are other products on Amazon which are cheaper and works so much better.
