Moroccanoil Colour Depositing Mask

I don’t normally write reviews but this hair mask was lovely. The Cocoa colour is beautiful and has lasted three washes so far - This is a lot better than similar products (and I’ve tried most). My hair felt and looked in great condition after. I left on the mask for about ten minutes, I didn’t bother with towel drying my hair (after washing), just removed excess water before applying. I also didn’t brush it through as the directions suggested… I have brown and caramel balayage long hair and it came out like the ‘expensive brunette’ trend. I used the whole mask for one application.

This is my product of the year. I’m naturally dark brunette and decided to let my grey grow in. I’ve about 1/3 grey in the front of my hair. My hair was butchered in a grey blending disaster. While the colour does not cover grey completely, it mutes to a more charcoal Colour which the hairdresser couldn’t achieve. I top up my colour every 2-3 weeks & leave in for 30 mins or so. I’ve not experienced any colour transfer like other users. Bought multiple times already

Getting first signs of grey and wanted to cover them or at least improve them. Didn’t do either. No colour deposited on my hair; on my scalp yes but not in my hair.

I love Moroccanoil hair products, but found this colour mask in cocoa does not tone grey. Thinking about it…it’s not supposed to. I think it’s more of a conditioning colour enhancer. If you buy, get the small one first to try. It actually goes quite a long way. Even on my brown hair strands, I don’t think it did much and I left it on for 10 minutes. Smells nice and feels luxurious though. Would recommend for hair that needs a boost of shine.

I was almost afraid to try this because hairdressers scare us off box dye so much, but this feels completely different. My hair goes brassy fast (thanks to hard city water), and I hate overdoing salon toners because they dry it out. This mask has been a game-changer. The colour deposits evenly, tones down the brass, and left my hair feeling soft and healthy instead of stripped. I was shocked by how glossy it looked afterward and how much brass it actually covered - more like a conditioning treatment than just a dye. I only bought the small sample to test it, and it was enough for my long, thick hair. I’m already ordering the full bottle.

I have naturally mid brown hair that is untreated and not previouocoloures.I wanted something to add a little intensity and shine to my hair for a wedding. This smells great and made my hair feel nice but I didn't notice anything in the way of colour deposit. A nice conditioning mask. That's all.

This is absolutely amazing. I had used hair dye remover and the ends were bleached and greenish. I applied this on towel dried hair for 5 min and looks and feels amazing. I think it’s worth the price. I’m gutted I didn’t take a picture of the before.

Not enough product for the price

A mio parere questa maschera non solo idrata il capello e lo rende super morbido ma da un tono ricco e lucente, quando esci dalla doccia e ti asciughi i capelli, i capelli risultano molto morbidi, hanno un colore ricco pieno e con riflessi cioccolato ma non caldi, un bel marrone fondente, ideale per chi ha i capelli castani scuro\marroni

Entspricht alles nach Beschreibung.....tolles produkt entdeckt und werde es weiterhin nutzen.

It really works and stays long time. I recommend if you want brown or hazelnut hair color . If you don’t want too dark just mix it with hair mask

I normally use another color depositing product that is also a lot cheaper compared to this incredibly small expensive baggie. It was not available in stock so I tried the Moroccanoil brand, that is the same exact cream concept of my usual brand. First of all, It's not a lot of product for the amount of hair i have, even if just below the shoulders in length. Secondly, the smell is nice but not that impressive, no "wow" i am in an "exotic wonderful country.. and its totally worth the price!" vibe. Lastly, despite leaving it on for a good 30 minutes, it did absolutely nothing. I am comparing this to my usual brand (that I will not mention) that not only offers 150ml for the same price (even less) of this miserable baggie, but it actually also frankly, works after just one usage. And no, it doesn't wash off after one shampoo. I expected much more from Moroccanoil, especially for this price.

I really liked this product! It made my hair feel super soft and smooth, and it smelled amazing afterward. The color payoff was great too. The only downside was that there was less product in the package than I expected. If you have long hair, I’d definitely recommend ordering two or more :)
