THIS CASE SURVIVED 5 MILES WEDGED AGAINST MY RUNNING STERNDRIVE ALTERNATOR BELT!
This case is tough! I had to adjust my Mercruiser 140 engine and didn't notice that my Kardia, in its case, had fallen out of my pocket and into the bilge. After running the boat five miles, I later discovered the case (with Kardia in it) had wedged between the alternator belt and a metal mount. It was wedged very tightly and was hard to remove. The running engine had ran the V-belt along the Kardia case constantly for five miles at 2,000 to 3,000 rpm. I was sure I would find the Kardia unit destroyed. I slid it into my pocket and decided to worry about it later, so as not to ruin the trip. Back in the house, I saw the belt had ground into the case, bent it quite a bit, and destroyed the zipper. I opened the case up and to my surprise, the Kardia unit looked unharmed. I ran the Kardia app and found that the unit still worked perfectly. I AM HERE TO BUY A REPLACEMENT FOR THIS CASE AFTER IT PROTECTED MY KARDIA UNIT FROM MY STERNDRIVE ENGINE!! Thank you for a great product.
