Nice bench top bandsaw for serious hobby work
I donโt need a band saw for large projects, have a crowded shop or re saw a bunch of wood. Looked at the larger Rikon saws and just could not justify the purchase based on my limited use. This saw arrived with no damage (box was trashed - donโt know why any company uses UPS) and had the saw set up in half an hour. Adjustments are quick with all the required tools for assembly and adjustment included. Tool storage is a nice touch as is the blade tension lever for a saw in this price range. The table is accurate and flat, blade runs true and is very quiet in operation. Found the included blade to be pretty good, I did buy an assortment of Timberwolf blades to have on hand when needed. I wish the miter gauge was included, bought the miter gauge separately adding a bit more capability to a very capable saw. I am very happy to have this saw in my shop and look forward to years of use, I am sure that I will run into a situation that I wish I had a larger bandsaw but based on my limited shop space I think I made the perfect decision to go with this saw.

Outstanding saw
I put off a bandsaw for quite some time. I have enough other tools and while a band saw would be handy, I can do the same thing 10 other ways. That said. Iโm happy I finally got one as itโs been an amazing tool and opened new doors and possibilities. This saw has had zero issues cutting through hardwoods in both small curvy cuts and rip cuts. Itโs very easy to set up and itโs made simply small cuts safe and easy. Although it may take an extra second to cut through vs my Cabinet saw. This is a pleasant simple machine that I come back to whenever possible. This is also small enough that I leave it on the end of my assembly table. In the future if I need to rip large pieces, sure I can upgrade. But so far this has done everything if needed and taking up a tiny space. The cast iron top has also been wonderful as I pop a Magswitch feather board on and cut without worrying about drift.

Great Rikon 10 Inch Bandsaw!
This Rikon 10 inch bandsaw is amazing. I recently purchased this bandsaw to replace a 30+ year old 10 inch, still-working, but now very dated, Craftsman bandsaw, after many years of reliable use. It takes a little time to assemble the Rikon bandsaw correctly, and get everything adjusted straight and true to the blade. However, once everything is setup the bandsaw cuts very well. The toolless guide-bearing adjustments make setting up the blade very easy. The tracking and tension adjustments also work very well to keep the blade cutting straight, or curved, when necessary. The bandsaw comes with a nice adjustable rip fence, and I also purchased the Rikon miter sled (not included) with the bandsaw. The bandsaw has onboard storage for the assembly/adjusting tools and the rip fence. This Rikon bandsaw is very quiet while running and cutting. It is also large and very heavy (over 80 pounds) compared to other bandsaws in the 9 and 10 inch cut class. I mounted the Rikon bandsaw on a portable rolling stand, which really helps with moving the heavy bandsaw around the shop. If you are looking for a good 10 inch, high-quality hobby bandsaw, but don't need a big 14+ inch cut monster bandsaw, then look no further. This is a heavy duty, high quality bandsaw, and not some cheap "toy" like many other brand bandsaws in this 9/10 inch cut class seem to be. The Rikon bandsaw is also a little more expensive than the others, but it is so worth the price for a real bandsaw. I highly recommend this Rikon 10 inch bandsaw.

Great for anyone needing to cut small things
This is a good mini bandsaw. Blade adjustment/ replacement is relatively easy. Cuts like a dream and fits in a relatively small space. The trunnion and wheels are aluminum not cast iron. Tslot is non-standard size. Table was also just too small for my use-case and I needed something that would cut just a hair higher than 5". Unfortunately or fortunately depending on your perspective, there's no 12" Rikon so if you need something bigger, the next size up Bandsaw (14") is a true monster standing over 6ft and weighing 300lbs... I went with that one.

Perfect hobby bandsaw
It's always a gamble shipping a heavy item like this, but thankfully mine arrived in great condition. (I wanted to mention that since it's never possible to tell if it was danged at the factory or in transit.) I chose this one since it uses a lot of cast iron and heavier parts to help cut stability. It's a pain to move around, so don't expect it to be portable for benchtop use. However, it's still a great option for a small workspace with a mobile stand. Dust collection is mediocre, but not enough to get in the way. External tool storage seems like an afterthought, I recommending using magnets instead. I'm slightly disappointed it can't resaw 6 inch wide boards to match a standard jointer, but you can only expect so much in small package. What ever you do, make sure to set it up correctly and get a new blade. Don't use the one that comes with it.

Great Bandsaw
Starting with the packaging, the unit was shipped, arrived early, and was in great condition. The inside packaging was well designed and effective. The included instruction manual was thorough, clear and effective in aiding the set up. The packaging of the assembly parts was the best thought out of any equipment I had received. Assembly was easy, and went through the process quickly. Very easy to set up, and the assembly and initial set up by the factory required only minimal set up. Operation of the bandsaw is flawless. Cuts wood like butter, and the finished cut requires minimal clean up. Fence accuracy is spot on, once you consider the minimal cleanup required. Overall, the saw lives up to the product reviews about it on line. Highly recommend this for your shop.

Outstanding intro level saw
Well starting woodworking at 67. Mostly buying Wen products and very happy with them. (Jointer track saw and scroll saw). Their 3962 band saw was a bomb however. See that review. Door was broken and base was severely damaged. Just felt real cheap. Spent an additional $160 for this after returning the Wen. Wouldโve liked to have bought it at Woodcraft but my local store just seems to not really be there for knowledge.... After watching a few set up videos to familiarize myself with bandsaws I was pleased how many high end features this has. Window to view alignment of blade quick tension release, spring loaded bearings, etc. resaws up to 5โ. As one website said - dump the original blade. I just could not get that to cut straight. It was awful. I had the saw set up right but the cuts would drift ( with the fence) almost 1/4โ!!!! Threw out the blade and bought a 1/2โ Olson, 3/8โ and 3/16โ Timberwolf. Works phenomenally. I can change the blade in five minutes itโs so easy. Very happy. Precise as all get out.

Versatile tool for the small shop
My workshop consists of the 43 inches between the front bumper of my truck and the east wall of the garage. I mostly use hand saws, since there isn't enough space for a lot of power tools, but this 10" Rikon bandsaw has proven to be well worth the room it takes up. I built a small wheeled cart that holds it, along with my 1 gallon air compressor. I replaced the blade with a 1/2" resawing blade, and keep a 1/4" blade handy for tight curves. I've resawn 5" cedar and pine boards, and 3-1/2" oak, walnut, and poplar boards with no problems at all. I've also ripped 12" to 14" sections of English walnut and birch logs. I don't do a lot with plywood or MDF, but when needed, it worked fine. I rarely need to rip anything thicker than 3/4", but it's always handled any wood I fed it. The fence is good enough, and I have a miter gauge on order. I tend to fuss over setup, so it's handy to have the tools mounted on the saw case for quick adjustments, The fence storage is clever. The ability to easily relax blade tension when not in use is HUGE. Highly recommended. Just clean it after every use, and it should last for decades.
