Nady SMPS-2X 2-Channel 48V Phantom Power Supply for Condenser Microphones

I am very pleased with the dual phantom power Nady system. It helped us out when our band was using a piggyback system of a smaller mixer into the main mixer with a snake that did not provide phantom power. The guy doing the sound came up with that method - Don't ask! Anyway I was able to quickly get round the problem and get the mics up and running for our main singers...they were delighted to use the Blue encore 300's that it powered and sounded excellent

Very well-made little box: solid; heavy enough to not easily slide around; absolutely quiet in operation. This box can simultaneously supply two mikes with 48-volts of phantom power, or a single mike can be used in either jack. You will, of course, need two cables per mike: one from the mike to the box input, and one from the box output to the amp or other device you're feeding. I will say that there is one -hell- of a filter capacitor in this box: I turned it off with two mikes connected, and it continued to power the mikes, and the power-LED continued to glow, for well over ten minutes. At any rate, if the device you're feeding with the mike doesn't have it's own phantom power, I do recommend this box for one- or two-mike setups.

All I needed at the time was one channel of phantom power but figure at this price it would be worth having another. Good thing I decided to get it since by the time it arrived I had decided to use another condenser mic on the tracks. Very handy, quiet and it has been really reliable. No complaints whatsoever.

A lot of sound boards and recording equipment have phantom power options. The majority I have seen are setup where phantom power is not selectable for individual channels. You have to use phantom power in 2, 4 or all channels. This little guy gives you the option for sending phantom power to only the ones that need it. I have recorded about 25 songs since I have purchased this to power the drum mic overheads. It works well and it does not seem to add any noise to the signal, at least not any I can notice. Build quality feels solid and sound quality is pretty great.

It is very good product, use as inline to condenser microphone "shure MX396C". As my mixer is not able to provide required phantom power i.e 48-52 Vdc, i had choose this item to boost my phantom power with out effecting any audio quality. It is good and suggest to use.

Unit arrives quickly and as described. Powered if on once to verify it worked and then didn't touch it for two weeks, also unplugged the adapter. When I went to use it for the first time it would not power on. Different outlets and checked the outlets with different devices - still would not power on. Requested a replacement. Replacement arrived in two days. Plugged it in and it worked well. Devices to see if the original unit was actually burnt or just the adapter. Turned out to be only the adapter but since I was sent a replacement I will send the original back. I was not in any major rush to use this so was not majorly inconvenienced by the issue but was still not happy. Only time will tell if this replacement and adapter will work for any length of time. Very doubtful and am still considering sending it back for a refund.

Solved a problem for me - rather than have to drag my powered PA mixer into the studio for phantom power (since I run an M-Audio Delta 1010LT interface) was absurd - this solved the problem. It is compact, and the pass-through means I can use it for dynamic mics just by turning it off rather than having to pull it out of line.

Bought this to use with a Behringer C1 and an AudioTechnica AT2020 mic. It provides plenty of power for both mics, and doesn't add any noise to the lines. Unit is very well-built - has been stepped on, kicked, tripped over, and looks/works brand new. If I could complain about anything, it's only that I can't use the same power block for my guitar pedals as this unit. (But that's a quibble.)

Good service and Product!

I liked the idea of 2 separate systems in 1 package. Also the unit is powered off household power. This is great as batteries become an additional expense and an ongoing concern when using the device. The case is metal. However after less than 5 hours of use one channel stopped working, I’m looking forward to a replacement and hopefully it will last much longer.
