Best Way To Give Medication and Supplements
My dog was just recently diagnosed with lymphoma cancer. He is on a lot of medications and supplements while he is going through chemotherapy. Pill pockets are way to expensive and sometimes they are not big enough or too much for the medication or supplement we are trying to give him. This is the most cost effective and best product we have found that he will accept to eat. (He has a sensitive stomach) I have bought all 3 flavors so that we can rotate the taste for him while he takes his medicines. He absolutely loves all 3 flavors. For his chewable supplements that he does not like to chew, we actually just press a very small amount of this wrap-a-pill dough onto his chewable tablets and then he will eat his chewable tablet too! The wrap-a-pill will stick to his chewable tablet without having to cover the entire large tablet. The produce is easy to use, it is moist and dough or paste like consistency. Smells just like the flavor it is suppose to be. I would recommend Wrap-A-Pill.

Product works, my dog loves it!
I have a 14YO Pomeranian who takes 5 small pills twice a day. She was refusing her “meatballs”, cream cheese, and PNB. Pill pockets don’t work, she spits out the pill and eats the treat. I was desperate so I went on Amazon and found this product. It’s more expensive than PNB but I was desperate. She loves it! I don’t have to use much, just enough to cover it. I’m on my second jar, bought the double for a better value. I use it in the morning, she’ll take two or three with cream cheese and the rest with this. She takes PNB in the evening. PNB is sticky, this is tacky, more pliable. It hasn’t bothered her stomach or given her diarrhea. Definitely recommend for giving meds.

Easy to use, dogs love it!
I find this product to be a better value than the pockets made for pills. I can pinch off just as much as I need to cover the pill and my dog wolfs it down without trying to bite (and therefore discover the pill!). My dogs love it and we have experienced zero digestive issues.

Might work for most
I believe this product would work for most people. Apparently I own the pickiest dog around, only one known to exist that doesn't like peanut butter. Maybe if you had these in roadkill flavored she would like that better. For now I have resorted to sticking her daily pill into a cheesy puff she really likes them and they are cheaper. This way we both get to snack together as well, a real bonding experience. That reminds me does anyone know if apoquel is bad for humans. Asking for a friend who might have accidentally eaten one in a cheesy puff.

The absolute best.
I have been using this product everyday for the past 2 and a half years and will continue to do so - it's worth every penny. I have 2 dogs, one of whom takes daily medication. She's an anxious dog and the first 2 months she was on her medicine were awful. It was a daily battle. We tried everything and nothing worked. She would eat food around the pill and spit it out. She was suspicious of every treat and it was a challenging time. We tried pill pockets and other brands of pill paste and they didn't do the trick. We got a tip about putting the medication inside of empty pill capsules and using this pill paste. It worked like a charm. I guess it disguises the taste enough for her. We have been using it daily since then and she loves it so much that she comes running when I yell, "medicine time!" Not only that, but my second dog comes running too and gets a pinch of it as a treat as though he is getting meds as well. Seriously a great product. It's soft and doesn't dry out yet it's not overly greasy. You can pinch it off to use as much or as little as you'd like and the dogs both love the taste. It's a win all the way around.

Surprise! Better than Pill Pockets
When I discovered the 1st ingredient in peanut butter Pill Pockets was chicken (and my dog is allergic to chicken), we had to find an alternative. So, I tried Pet MD pill wrap based on reviews & ingredients. It’s a little more oily than I anticipated but it works great. One measure of great is that you choose how much you need depending on size of medication. My dog takes 2 pills 2x per day. One pill is tiny & he could chew it but won’t; the other is a larger, timed-release capsule that he needs to swallow whole. Just try explaining that to a dog who doesn’t want to have anything to do with any meds. Initially, I tried stuffing the naked capsule down his throat & followed that with the wrapped pill as a treat. But when he got more ingenious at rejecting the capsule, & the capsule began disintegrating on my 2nd or 3rd try, I tried wrapping it in the PetMD too. It’s much easier to administer the capsule this way, partly because the pill wrap covering is tasty & slippery, and he still gets the wrapped pill as a chaser & treat. I do not recommend digging into the paste with fingers (unless you want pill paste under your fingernails). I just use the tip of a spoon to extract the amount I need from the jar. One problem I found with packaging: Even though Amazon shipped the product in a standard bubble-wrap bag, the outer edge of the jar lid cracked & broke off in transit. Fortunately, I could tape it back together & it still screws onto the jar. Some more padding would have been better though.

Amazing!
This stuff is amazing! We have tried everything under the sun to get our dog to continue taking her many pills. There are several that are quite bitter and once she breaks one of them it's game over. This paste is the consistency of Play-Doh and smells like real peanut butter. You can wrap as much or as little as you need to disguise the pill and encourage a fast swallow. Wish I had known about them earlier!
