I don't use it much because it is not very easy to see the numbers
I had a Brown clock that lasted 25 years until it I dropped it on the floor. I am sure this will last many years.I don't use it much because it is not very easy to see the numbers. I use more Soft Cube LCD Alarm Clock, because it has bigger numbers.

High quality, well thought-through design, reduced to the minimum needed
I am German and I always had Braun products when available (what can I say...). Braun makes beautiful and ergonomic designs and their products are high quality and well thought through. There is a reason they get design awards all the time. This alarm clock is just what I needed. It has as few buttons as possible that are sturdy and easy to reach. The clock itself is sturdy and feels good. The disolay is large and easy to understand when half awake. Yes, it is pretty dark, but I did not want a bright display that keeps me awake at night. If you wake up at night and you need to view the time, just press the snooze botton and it will light up. Needless to say this clock does not make a ticking sound. The wake up sound is strong enough so that I can hear it through my ear plugs. The snooze pacing is perfect to give me some more rest but not to make me fall back into deep sleep. It was important to me that I can set the time to 24hrs (I never adjusted to the am/pm system) and that I can manually program the clock when out of radio reach. In summary, this clock is the perfect solution for me. I am 100% satisfied.

Can you see it?
A typical solid Braun clock. Only one problem: It is almost impossible to see the time unless the room is well lit.The while time doesn't contrast enough with the black background. At night, I need to use a flashlight to see what time it is in the middle of the night. This should be corrected in the manufacturing and then it would be perfect.

It's an alarm clock that looks good.
It's an alarm clock. It's a physical object you can set in your bedroom and not have to worry about being charged, or in silent mode, or connected to some weird Bluetooth accessory. Bonus points for being able to put it across the room to get your sleepy butt up to turn it off at some ridiculous time to go to work.Looks good, fits any modern decor. World time feature over airwaves seemed fussy so I just set it like a regular clock.

display contrast
in it's regular unlit mode it's not a very contrastic display. pleasent but u really got to look. at night completley invisibile unless you light it with the (convenient) button.

Great Clock but...
You better read the manual! While it’s a great little clock, to program can be a little difficult. Also download a copy to your computer for reference.

I love this alarm clock.
Some buyers seem to have had issues with Braun dig6ital clocks. I bought two (one for me and one for my SO) and they both function perfectly. They are 100% silent, with zero light to disturb my sleep until I press the snooze button. Alarm is loud and clear. After 6 months of continuous use, the battery doesn't seem to be discharging fast. I've had zero issues and am extremely satisfied with the clock. This is the only battery powered clock I've found that is completely silent, completely dark but can also be lit up at the touch of a button. I am very happy with my purchase, especially after one of the clocks has hit the floor a couple times with no evidence of damage whatsoever.

Beautiful and frustrating
I love the size and look of this clock, but that's where the love ends. In a well-lit room I can read the time okay, but in a dimly lit room it's difficult to impossible. In the dark you have to press the "light" button, which gives you 10 seconds of a beautifully lit display. But having to reach out in the middle of the night and press a button to see the time is the worst. And if I'm tired, I have to grab the clock and hold it like it's a fish before I press the light button or I'll knock it over.On the left side there's a switch that puts the clock into set mode -- up for time, down to set the alarm. But because the switch is so loose, getting it back to the middle position is vexing and always takes a couple of tries.Below that is a large rocker switch to adjust the time, which works just fine. But if you're not in set mode, the button changes the clock to military time and it's easy to accidentally press it.Battery life is great, which isn't surprising considering how little this clock works to tell me the time.

A great alarm clock
In all honesty, I actually wanted a bright red Punkt Alarm Clock. However, I could stomach the £120 price tag. So, I tried to find a clock that would satisfy a good compromise between style, function, and price.First, this is a great alarm clock at a good price, and if you want an alarm clock this is probably the one to get. It feel well made, and I especially like how the battery holder makes a little stand for the clock. The display is also big and easy to read... when you are holding the clock. It is less easy to read when sitting at an angle to you or illuminated by day light. However, that is a minor complaint as for me the main use of this clock is at night.I had considered getting the travel version of this clock, which is a little smaller, but I'm glad I didn't. This clock is a perfect size. And would not be too big for packing in a suitcase when travelling, either. In my corner of England the automatic syncing to radio time worked perfectly, so I can't complain. I hate changing the times on clocks, so I look forward to this one doing it for me.I read some reviews complain of the alarm button being combined with the snooze/light button. However, this works just fine for me and has not resulted in my accidentally disabling the alarm. There are two reasons that this clock does not get a full 5 stars from me. The first is the sound of the beeper. I find it mildly unpleasant. Surely in this day of wonderful smartphone alarm sounds, an alarm clock like this could sound a little better. The second reason is the blue colour the display illuminates to when the snooze/light button is pressed. My personal preference is for all displays to be viewed temporarily at night to have a dim red colour so as to not be aggressively jarring to my eyes. if this alarm clock would fix this particular deficiency, then I think it would earn 5 stars.

Perfectly simple
I was sick of my smartphone waking me up - having to look at my phone first thing in the morning. This is a great minimalist alternative and it does nothing that you don't need it to which is refreshing.Loud enough for me, numbers are clear and easy to read unless its on the window ledge with sun behind it,anywhere else I have no problem at all. I don't find the snooze button confused with the alarm off button. It pops back up when snoozed - and stays down when turned off so pretty obvious. Alarm off buttonis small to the left, snooze is on right, easy.Radio time setting works well in the Midlands, seems to get reception throughout the house.I don't usually leave reviews, but in light of the bad ones that almost put me off I felt I had to.

Great design but annoying snooze system
Well I love the design of this clock, the display is easy to read (inverse LCD) and the back light works well, however there are some drawbacks. For a start the alarm is not really loud enough, certainly not as loud as any other travel clock of this type I have owned so bear that in mind if you're a heavy sleeper, also the battery cover is flimsy and not easy to remove which detracts somewhat from the quality feel of the clock. Hopefully I won't be changing it (AA size) very often. And finally (and this really bugs me), the snooze alarm gives an extra 5 mins before ringing again. You would imagine an alarm set for 7:30 would (when snooze pressed) go off again at precisely 7:35, 7:40 etc., after all, it is a radio-controlled super-accurate clock. However the 5 mins commences from when the snooze button is pressed. So if you take 11 seconds (say) to press the snooze, the repeat alarm will then sound at 7:35:11, then 7:40:22 etc. This is all rather strange. So if you've got any sort of OCD you'd better not get this clock.
