I have a loved one with leukemia. I had previously gotten him a Leukocyte from the same line as this, and he loved it...and the nurses and doctors at the hospital he's at loved it even more.Now he needs a bone marrow/stem cell transplant, so of course, this "sister" item was absolutely mandatory. It's just as cute and more colorful. I'm not sure it really looks like a stem cell but it's a nice idea.However do not buy this item from BIGFLYSPORTS. The one I got was clearly a returned item. It came in a ziplock bag with the tag disconnected and the shiny plastic eyes scuffed up. Normally this wouldn't bother me too much, but in this case it is a gift for a stem cell transplant patient...who needs a near-sterile environment, and all gifts are supposed to be new. Who knows what situation it is was before returning?

Stem cells...what a great, educational idea for a Giant Microbe toy! This one's got no clearly defined color, which matches perfectly with the meaning of a stem cell.

Cute little plush, a good size for a stress or squeeze toy (no wonder it looks so worried!) This definitely will not be durable for younger kids, the stitching probably won't hold up. Also it is more ovally than what is shown.

great gag gift, so cute comes in a cute holder or stand alone. Very creative idea and so many organs and other parts to choose from love this plan to collect them all!

It's actually smaller than I expected, with it actually being able to fit in my fist. However, it's exactly what I was looking for, and my girlfriend loved it (biomedical engineer)...and c'mon, it even says that it's "1,000,000x actual size" which should not be a surprise. 5 stars, perfect quality. Will indeed recommend to a friend, and will definitely be buying more in the future.

I love this cute range of cuddly gifts.......couldn't decide which one to choose so opted for the stem cell so it could be anything you want....if that makes sense. Only disappointing aspect is the packaging, a plastic bag is a bit naff, particularly if intended as a gift.
