Does this mount fit on a class II hitch receiver?

This 2" hitch will not fit into the Class II receiver. Is this item easy to install ? (nissan altima)

Yes, as stated below, the Ball Mount with Ball just slides into the receiver. Installing the receiver is not really complicated but it takes time and you need someone or something to hold up one end as you bolt up the other. It's supposed to be a 1/2 hour job with two people, i think it took me 45-60 minutes by myself. I wasn't really keeping time though.

Does anyone know if you can mount this upside down to gain height?

Yes. You get a 1/2" rise by flipping it vs a 2.5" drop not flipping it. Be warned:It's really tight. I used a Reese hitch ball wrench (pn 74342 for sale on Amazon), and some large channel lock pliers. You only need a vice if the receiver is not installed. otherwise you can put the mount into the receiver sideways, put the wrench on the nut and carefully jump on the wrench a few times. once the wrench moved, I was able to use the channel lock pliers to hold the ball in place while I continued loosening the nut with the wrench.
