Janome 5060 QDC Sewing Machine with Extension Table, 60 Stitches, LCD Display

I have arthritis in my hands so am unable to thread or use my old machine I could cry as this one is SO easy and I sewing again. The thread cutter is marvellous and the auto threader is great and so easy to use . I had stopped using this on my old machine as you had to hold it down while trying to thread, not on this one, you click it down and then have two free hands. its really quiet and stable and doesn't move about. The extras with this machine are really good too, 5 feet as well as an extension table, a quilters foot, a button hole foot and then all the normal things like spools, needles, screwdriver and brush etc. I would highly recommend this machine to anyone from a starter to an experienced sewer. It has 59 stitches, a start/stop button, needle up/down button and an auto thread cutter. it was especially made for a quilter so you can alter the foot for thicker material. I don't quilt but I love this machine!

Wow! I am lifelong sewer with a reasonable skill level. Had an old Fischer Rossmann machine which has been my workhorse for years, sadly it finally broke earlier this week so got this Janome - even after only 2 days I can’t sing its praises enough!!! Already used it on thick and thin fabrics and tested it through all its stitches and I love it!! I did struggle a little to get the buttonhole to work but a quick look on YouTube and that was soon sorted (I had missed the pull-down lever!). Very smooth, sturdy, stitches are uniform, love the range of measurements on footplate, good visibility of fabric when sewing for accuracy. Will be using it for curtains, bags, quilting, appliqué and repairs and confident already that this machine will be my friend for years to come…

Really pleased with my machine. Was upgrading from a very basic machine and looked around at a lot of different machines/makes and settled on this one, very pleased I did. More stiches than I will ever need but nice to have the different options. Set up instructions easy to follow. So quiet and smooth to use. Love the thread cutter feature and the auto threader - that takes a couple of times to get the hang off but once you get it it’s easy.Would definitely recommend.

Just love this machine. Easy to use and has loads of different feet including the quilting accessory pack which means I reckon you could use this for most household creations. Machine feels sturdy and is intuitive to use. Happy to report it comes with a proper paper manual rather than an online guide or cd which are always a pain to us. Love the self threading feature and the sliding speed limiter to save me from a jerky foot speed lurch during tricky bits.

I've had Janome machines for years. Solid, good quality and never had an issue,. This updates my previous machine. Highly recommend Janome.

I own two of these and enjoy sewing on them. The instructions are clear. The machine is sturdy and isn’t too loud. It is heavy, though, due to its sturdy construction, so if you are planning to haul it around a lot, be aware that it is not light. I haul mine around occasionally and the weight is not a problem in those cases, but if I was hauling it frequently I might want a lighter machine.

This machine has all the features I need to make my clothes and bags. Delivery was quick and packaging was very good
