Perfect Fit for 6'0" person, decent quality
I bought this to be able to work with Samaritan's Purse in Western, NC after the hurricane. I was a little skeptical after reading several reviews saying they were way too short and cheaply made... After using them for about 5-6 hours this past Saturday, I can tell you they are well worth the $99. They may not be as heavy/sturdy as Stihl, but they definitely provide adequate protection. I'm 6' 0" and about 195 lbs, the fit/length was perfect. The chaps covered my entire leg to the top of my mid-height hiking boots. The helmet & face shield are made of a fairly lightweight plastic, but does keep chips, debris, small branches, etc. out of your face. The helmet was easily adjustable and fit very nicely and didn't move around while sawing. The ear protection is adequate, I was using an battery powered saw, but 2 others were using Stihl saws very near me and the ear protection definitely cut down on the noise level from those saws.

Perfect for average Homeowner
If you are a professional lumberjack, ya, you already know where to get your high end gear. But for the rest if us mere mortals, this kit is perfect. It has everything you need to keep you safe. The helmet is comfy enough. The face shield is easy to see through, yet it keeps out the woodchips. And the ear protection works well enough. The chaps adjust well, and have a nice pocket big enough to keep 1 or 2 small wedges. Pretty handy. Overall for the price you can't beat it.

Half the price, all the functionality
There are two other brands of forestry gear you've probably heard of, and they both sell chainsaws. Their pro-level forestry gear might be slightly lighter weight or slightly easier to use, but for the price, unless you're a pro, you can't beat the Forester gear. (If you're a pro, your employer is probably providing this stuff for you, or should be.) I haven't had to test the chaps, and hope I never do, but they fit well and they're adjustable several ways. I'm 5'10" with a 31-inch inseam and they're a good length on me in heavy work boots. Someone over six feet should probably order the longer chaps. The helmet is easily adjustable and the built-in hearing protection works quite well. The face shield screen is metal and has begun to rust where sweat has dripped onto it over time, but it's only noticeable if I focus on it while I'm wearing the helmet. The included safety glasses are uncomfortable and fog up easily. If they work for you, great, but if you're shopping for this you've probably already got a good pair of safety glasses that you like better anyway. Wear those.

Safe, and not overly expensive!
I have NOT needed their capabilities yet (knock on wood) and can not attest to their abilities to prevent ugly gashes in human flesh from chainsaw use! That said, I cut up a couple cords of firewood for my sister in Oregon and cut down/up several trees on my property in Alaska and the trail leading to it through the R.O.W. And felt comfortable and safer doing so. I left these in Alaska and will likely buy another set for my use in Oregon/Alabama/Nevada when cutting wood in those locations (I move around a lot... and am an outdoorsy/wood heat/wood BBQ kind of guy)... Please be safe, as an OSHA 511 certified Safety Professional, I see that too many of the severe injuries and deaths that happen were all easily preventable, don’t be the negative statistic, accidents happen all the time, they are rarely deadly to people who take the proper precautions.

Good for the price
Good for the price. The outer shell is 100% polyester with 4 PLY WTS-34.. The Waist is 30-42'' with 37'' length. I am 6' tall and with the chaps sitting at my waist line it falls right above my ankle. The helmet is adjustable and fits well. The ear protection seems to perform fine. Also, comes with eye protection similar to a cheap set from a big box store. I will note that a button did appear to just fall off while I was taking it out of the packaging. If I were a professional tree trimmer or logger I would most likely look for higher quality. As a homeowner, who occasionally uses his chainsaw this is probably a good fit for the price, certainly compared with the alternative of not using any safety equipment.

Buy!
If you are doing chainsaw work, get a pair of these. I felt stupid the first time I wore them then several people told me their horror stories of taking someone to the hospital with a gash in their legs. This was fairly priced and they seem to be very good quality. The belt will loosen easily so just tuck the end under the belt and you won't have any issues. Get them, please, or some like them. Be safe, not worth not using them. In fact, I had my saw kickback and come real close to hitting the front protective screen the helmet.
