Excellent texture
I bought this for a few reasons, one being that they are a local company here in Southern Oregon!I finished a hickory handle for a TrueTemper Pulaski, as well as started restoring a vintage TrueTemper rafting axe, and to be honest - I wanted to try something different than traditional BLO or Tung oil. Wax finishes have a melty, buttery smooth - and grippy texture. This has a mild scent of beeswax, and while it might not smell like milk, honey, bergamot or Jovan Musk, it definitely doesn't smell bad.The texture is thick, like a less oily balm. Melts in your hand, and really soaks into the wood work. You'll want to give this a bit of heated encouragement, or let your piece hang out in the sun for a bit to warm up. I used a heat gun to push the BLO/Tung oil out of the piece I was working on, and it soaked in the wax and left me with a beautiful non-discolored grippy texture. It's not as grippy as pine tar, but it sure feels nice.I also finished the head of my old rafting axe, after removing the scale rust and giving it a cold-blue treatment. Generally I coat my pieces with a light film of boiled linseed oil, but went with the wax approach and I am not displeased. Once again, heat gun was used to really thin the coating so it soaks down into the pores of the metal. This has resulted in a satiny sheen over what looks like seasoned cast iron, after the bluing treatment. Looks great. So of course, I had to try this on the ladies' kitchen utensils, and gave her well used Pioneer Woman wooden spoons & wood handled spatulas a coat after a quick scrub pad cleaning. Performs at least as good as I would expect a cutting board conditioner/oil/wax to perform, only it doesn't leave a nasty oily film like mineral oil leaves.I wouldn't mind if there was a bit more beeswax here, and it seems like carnauba isn't in high concentration. This isn't anything akin to a car wax when it dries, so if you're wanting that super glossy high luster shine you're not going to get that here (nor should you want that, IMHO...) but you will get a water resistant, grippy texture - and it'll make your hands soft, too. I'm currently giving a couple of pieces multiple coats so I can see how it handles film build-up and endurance out in the weather.Smells 'natural', doesn't discolor your work. Wouldn't be upset if the scent was a little piney, the base oils used will be disliked by some, I am sure. But I'm one of those guys that has to have a fancy air freshener in my truck, I wouldn't praise something that smells like the northern end of a southbound donkey. This is decent, and a little goes a long ways. I'd buy it again.

This stuff is magic!
The wooden board I knead bread on was just too sticky, no matter how well I oiled it. One treatment with this stuff, and the next loaf of bread was exponentially easier. Looked at this product for a while, but was thinking it was a bit pricy. Well now that I've used it, and seen how little it takes to get big results, I have decided that it's completely worth every single penny. If I ever run out, I'll buy more. The garden tools are next up. I'm sure I'll be just as happy with those results. Buy this stuff. You will not regret it.

The media could not be loaded. Best of the best right here! I use this product solely for any and all custom knives I do. It’s a great all around products and keeps both the handle a blade looking fresh and smelling fresh! Not to mention it is a good safe product. I recommend to all I come across and will be starting to include this which each and every knife sale through my business NICKNIFE LLC

Damn Fine Wax
I know it’s weird to get excited about wax but believe me this Axe Wax is amazing. It is what Zogs Sex Wax is to surfboards. The BEST for your axe, saw, pick, Pulaski you name it. Metal, wood—works on everything. I bought it to maintain a couple of axe heads and handles. It worked so well I tried it on a 140 year old pick that has been in my family since the transcontinental RR days. It totally brought it back to life. Plus you can feel good knowing you are supporting a small American biz in good ole Ashland OR.

Very Fast Shipping even Better product
I ordered yesterday and it came today. Very fast processing of the order. The product is outstanding. A little goes a long way and the smell is far superior to linseed oil on handles and any other oil/coating on my blades. This will be the first of many purchases and recommendations to others. Always good supporting a local company with products made in USA.

Amazing product!
Well I'm impressed! I was skeptical at first, but it does what it says it will do and more. I used this on 2 of my Wetterlings axes and Norlund Voyageur hatchet I recently restored and rehafted. It left a nice finish on the handles that weren't too sticky nor too slick to get a grip on. And a little goes a long way! Works great on the leather as well. I would highly recommend this wax for those of you serious about your axes.
