Can this run continuously without switching off? In other words, does it have and auto-off feature and if so, can the auto-off feature be turned off?

Accepted Answer

The auto-off feature can be turned off with a long press on the power button. Ie, shut it off, and then power it back on but don't let off the power button for ten seconds or so. It should now be in manual shut-off mode, and will stay there through future power cycles until you perform the same procedure to put it back into automatic mode. This feature is undocumented on this model; I found it this evening after sitting down with the express purpose of finding the auto-off toggle, knowing it -had- to be in there somewhere. Hope this is of some help.

How quickly does weight stabilize?  Planning to use for reloading as backup.

Can’t believe it measures grain to the 3rd digit accurately!!  You normally need a very expensive analytical scale, placed on granite or something level and solid, and enclosed from air movement to be accurate.  Measuring individual bullets and loaded rounds multiple times frequently got me the exact measurement and when it didn’t, it was normally the 3rd digit that changed from the previous reading.  My $400 powder dispenser only claims to be +/- .1g meaning if it shows 40.0 that it could be 40.1-39.9.   My initial tests shows this to be more accurate and repeatable.  Not sure how it will change if batteries aren’t 100%.  I might try to buy the same brand with a power cord but even then, like highly accurate analytical scales, there needs to be a device to make sure the power supply is constant.  I’m very impressed and will probably use to sort brass then weight to get similar components and then use to sort same weighted loaded rounds for testing with the chronograph.

Why does this come with a 20g calibration weight when the max weight on thia is 50g??

Does this scale have a readout option for grains? As in ammo reloading?

Yes, it does.  I am using this scale for reloading, and it appears to work perfectly.  After I zero the scale with a spent case, the scale always returns exactly to zero when i place the case back on it.  The scale balances out quickly when weighing the powder charge.
