This light has a lot of power
This is one very robust light as far as I’m concerned. It may be a bit bulky for some but it certainly packs a lot of bang for the buck in a small package. The only caution I would like to bring up is that if you pair the light to Lezyne’s LED Ally application, it’ll limit the illumination functions available to the end user from 9 to only 4. On the other hand, using the “smart connect” feature (to pair with the rear light) or not, you may like having only 4 more commonly used options than all 9 as 9 can take a while to cycle through. Personally, I chose the later of the two options as I wanted to make it quicker change modes.I use this light on my handlebar and it really is a really, powerful flood light. As many have said this light uses micro USB for charging instead of the newer trend of USB-C but for many of us, I’m sure we still have some legacy devices running on the micro USB protocol. That said, charge cables are cheap and plentiful.Needless to say, you won’t go wrong with one of these high powered flood lights. The case is metal and the light is powerful enough to handle pitch-black riding conditions to a emitting a simple day flash that is great for alerting oncoming traffic during a road ride. All in all, if you’re in the market for a powerful front light, the 1600XXL is certainly one to be considered. I use it multiple times per week and have had zero problems with it so far.

Bright light in a medium small package
This product replaced a two-piece light setup where the battery was strapped to my stem. This one is just as bright and is great for early morning rides, but also great for just being seen with its different flashing options. Using the heavy duty rubber strap to secure it to the handlebars is kind of a pain, which knocks it down a star. That being said it hasn't moved since I attached it, and it definitely can come off easy when it's time to recharge. I definitely would purchase it again because I appreciate the amount of light it throws.

Incredible
I enjoyed using this light during a 25-hour mountain bike race. It performed beautifully. Of course this light is expensive but it truly is a great product. I bought a used one for a discount. This light has a feature that puts it into "race mode," where all the light modes go away except full and eco. That way, you can touch the button once during a race to toggle between bright and not so bright without having to cycle through a thousand different modes.I mounted this light on my handlebars and it stayed put even over rough terrain. It was pitch black out in the desert during my race and the eco mode gave enough light to see quite well. It is very bright and has a great, wide beam pattern. I will be using this light for years to come on many more night rides and races.Photos compare to a Nite Rider Lumina 1200. The Nite Rider shows a blue light on the unit, this Lezyne Super Drive 1600 shows a green light on the unit. Note the Lezyne has a much wider beam.

New Lazyne lights with flimsy mounting strap
I have used Lezyne for over 10 years and they are fantastic lights. However the newer versions all seem to come with flimsy strap mounts. The website states : "the front light is compatible with a range of accessory mounts, offering alternative mounting options to suit your specific needs". That is not true, there is only a non-removable rubber band that does not hold the light steady. I had hoped for multiple mounting options, such as the older Lezyne lights that had hard plastic snap-on mounts. Would be happy to buy another light that fits the existing XXL mount but Lezyne does not seem to have a customer helpline,

Great bike light -- But it is huge!
I ordered this light as a replacement and upgrade for the Lezyne 600XL I purchased with my bike originally. For some reason, the 600XL would not stay on. So decided to get a replacement. And opted for the higher-capacity light. And as a bonus, this light can be controlled via their app.In the picture above, you can see the new light (top) 1600XXL. Below that is the original 600XL light. Added a standard pen below that for some scale. But overall, the light is awesome and super bright. I really need a light during the day for visibility.Another issue with the light is the bracket used to mount it to the bike handlebars. As you can see from the image, the top light (1600XXL) has a rounder bracket. The original light in the picture (600XL) has a broader bracket. My problem is that the area of my handlebars where this light would be mounted is not round but more oval. While the light bracket is rubber, it just does not allow it to fit my bike. But again, great light and lots of options to control the light via the app.

Lezyne Super Drive 1600XXL
Extremely pleased with the Lezyne 1600XXL. This light packs a punch for how lightweight and compact it is. The rubber strap mount fits perfectly on my raceface bars and doesn’t budge. The Lezyne app lets you customize your light cycle preferences instead of having to cycle through all the modes. I use the enduro mode for climbing and full blast for downhill. Haven’t had the battery die or fade on any of my rides. No complaints, will be purchasing more Lezyne products in the future because their quality is apparent.

Worth it…
I have the lezyne 1000 and 1600 xxl. I always grab my xxl for my night rides. It lasts longer than I can on the trails and it’s plenty bright with a good spread.I also recommend getting the light and motion 1000 for your helmet and mounting the xxl on your bars.
