it's already provided hours of fun and he loves having his own little shooter
When I first saw the gun in person, it was a lot smaller than I expected. It's tiny. But it has a lot of power and the darts shoot so far! I bought this for my four year old because I thought he would have some trouble with the bigger nerf guns. It's a little tough for him to pull out the bottom piece and get it ready for shooting, he can do it but it takes him awhile. He looks so cute when he lays on the ground and aims at the targets though, it's already provided hours of fun and he loves having his own little shooter.

Perfect for a 3 years old!
This isn't the first Nerf gun we have purchased for our three year old grandson but it is the only one that he can cock all by himself! The targets are important as well. It is much more fun to actually have something to shoot at instead of imaginary villains in the living room. We play a sort of hide and seek with the targets. We place them in easy to see/access locations around the house and let him wonder around with his little gun to hunt for them. Once he finds all three it is a do over. Buy some extra darts! You are going to have trouble finding them once in a while.

Gun is ok, just not the targets.
Not bad, does what is advertised. The cheap plastic targets don't stand well, though, which is a disappointment. The mere fact that the pictures in the middle are made of poster board is even more "ghetto." The gun works good enough. The Zombie Strike Jolt is an obvious re-re-shell of the N-strike single fire front-loader of the same name, and a re-re-re shell is probably inevitable seen as it's simple design appeared in every Nerf blaster marketing line (N-strike, Elite, Zombie, Rebelle Knock-out [knock-off], and now the Mega Big-shock. They all shoot 50-55 FPS (Feet Per Second) as measured by my ProChrono Digital chronograph. This is due to the limited space for the plunger tube, so expect sub-par elite performance with some shots in the 40 FPS range as well.

Low Quality
I got this for my son for christmas and the pieces are very thin plastic and cheaply made.

This is so perfect for work
This is so perfect for work! I work at an accounting firm and we have big shootouts when we finish deadlines. Almost everyone in the office has a Nerf gun so we are equally armed and ready at a moment's notice. The targets are low quality but add an extra fun element. This little pistol fits my hand perfectly and packs quite a punch - the bullets fly past several cubicles. I also like that it holds two extra bullets for fast reloading. Lastly, the green bullets help me differentiate between mine and everyone else's which are blue and orange.

Pleasantly Surprised
Surprisingly, the actual Nerf gun itself, its in the same category as their N Strike line, firepower, distance, etc., so the gun is great and can be used as a backup when reloading primary weapons (my kids and I have Nerf fights throughout the house, its pretty elaborate). The targeting accessory that holds two extra rounds, while a nice idea, but ill conceived and manufactured. I am a gun enthusiast and I tried multiple adjustments etc., and the sight system failed and was ultimately removed. The built in sighting is pretty dead on, much like the rest of their Nerf line, and the targets are great. They are challenging when on the move and if set at the right distance, quite a challenge during a competition. I'd recommend this product.

Fun, falls over super easy though.
Son really enjoys this. He's seven. But if you knock one over, the plastic targets are so light that the momentum from hitting one might make the others fall on a surface thats not super heavy. Still fun though. Good bang for your buck;-)

The boys enjoyed them
Very small I expected that but did it feel like it lived up to Nerf standards. However, I bought two (and extra darts) both boys did enjoy them
