This product is outstanding! The weight is wonderful, I do not use this for cake decorating, I use it for acrylic painting. The turning mechanism is smooth and even. I have purchased a couple turntables in the past and had to weight them down to get even turning - this one is a snap. It is so sturdy that you don't need weights or anything else to hold it steady. Although it appears to be somewhat scratch resistant, I do cover it with press and seal to keep the paints from staining it. The size is perfect for my needs, I can place small items up to medium size canvasses (I have not tried larger ones) and have no problems with it turning. It is a great value for the money and looks fantastic.

Solid construction. Spins effortlessly!!! This is the nicest cake table I’ve ever owned! No assembly required. Perfect height to be able get your hands underneath to move. Great price makes it a no brainer.

Was time to upgrade turntables and I have no idea why I waited so long because once I used this, life became sooo much easier. No wobbling and smooth spinning. Highly recommend!
