Great for mixing/engineering, but maybe not for producers
These are excellent if you want to focus on mixing and engineering. The whole track is transparent and you can hear where things sit in the mix. The bass response is surprisingly strong, and the highs are crisp. I've seen some negative reviews here that say they don't "sound right". They sound different, and are a useful tool for mixing. That said, I wouldn't recommend them to someone who is just getting into producing music. They don't "sound" the way regular speakers or even traditional studio monitors sound because of the coaxial design. This is a strength when you're mixing, but might not be as accessible for someone who is looking to get into bedroom music production and is used to music sounding like what you hear on your headphones, stereo, or car.I bought these along with the Fluid Audio DS5 stands and they are a perfect fit for each other.

Nice Speaker
I did notice only a bit of hiss with speakers at half volume level. Nice sounding speaker. Looks nice too. Very happy with purchaseUpdate: purchased another and was defective. No sound from woofer. Unit had some blemishes too. Think it was a sale of a returned unit. Maybe not? Sending back to Amazon. Anyway ordered another from a different vendor.

Hiss of Death...
As with the 8's these little brothers look and sound great but can also hiss an angry snake back into its hole.(grounding issue?) It hisses thru the RCA and TRS ports. Note: Mine came not from amazon (who sells them a tad cheaper) but from a now closed AV business. They were sold to me as new in the box from a 2020 order whose receipt invoice was still attached to the box. I donated mine to a local group home as AV mains for their movies. They love the concentric style and they're great for video. However, as a studio monitor, the hiss generated makes them undesirable. I'm now looking at the Tannoy Golds as a logical replacement.

Coaxial design is great but loses bass
These sound great for near field editing. only issue is that compared with other 5" monitors, these have markedly less bass response and volume. With the tweeter center-mounted, there's just not enough surface area for the woofer to push much air.I planned to use them with the Fluid sub, so it's not a problem for me, and they sound excellent together. If you like these but don't want a subwoofer, I really recommend the Fluid FX80. Same thing but an 8" woofer. It pushes less than an unobstructed 8" but it's more than adequate.

Excellent reference monitors once the dipswitches are calibrated to your room
Don’t sleep on these. They reproduce the entire spectrum nicely. I had to turn down the low end response which is crazy for a 5” driver. Mid range info is all there. Top end has air. Get em

Great near field monitors
Accurate with a wide sweet spot and very loud if needed
