Worked great!!
Bought this for my girlfriends “Little Ole Lady" as she calls her that she takes care of on weekends. This lady is 89 years old racked with Rheumatoid arthritis, can only use her thumb and index finger. She also has the shakes. She was so crippled up she could barely feed herself in turning the fork to her mouth and with the shakes would lose her food off a normal fork. The weight and the adjustable angle for the fork have worked quite well for her. The weight steadies her hand. The size and the soft rubber grips allow her to grip it better with her two fingers. The adjustable angle allows her to get it to her mouth much better. Is a little pricey for a utensil, but definitely was worth the money for her. Oh and also very quick shipping.

Easier eating after mother's stroke
I'm embarrassed it took a year and a half after my mother's stroke for me to think of this, but I just got her two of these forks and two of the matching spoons. A stroke affected her right side and she is right-handed. She *can* eat with her right hand, but she tires quickly and has limited control. She then tries eating with her left hand, but not being natural, that's also hard to control.I looked at several brands, but settled on OXO because I know the brand and knew the quality of the handles. The thick handles, slight added weight and bendable head made this a winner! We bent the head of the fork to about a 90 degree angle so it faces her mouth without her having to turn her hand. The handle was easier to grasp, the slight added weight made it steadier, and the angle of the spoon made getting it to her mouth easier. She said, "I never thought I'd have to use something like this." But if you need it, you need it. Dignity in feeding oneself and the ability to eat nutritious food are at stake.

Must have for Parkinson’s
Bought for my mom who has Parkinson’s and it has helped her to eat independently and not spill most of the food before reaching her mouth. It’s actually better than the expensive google silverware that moves.

The Best fork for for people with hand tremors
I bought the spoon for my Mom who has Parkinsons and she just loves this. She is able to feed herself for the first time in 1 year. She has a very shaky hand and I wasn't positive this would work for her..but it does ! Its a confidence builder. The handle is rubber and she is able to hold it better than a small fork handle because some of her fingers are contracted. It takes a few times to get used to the weight so don't give up. I'm so happy she has the freedom to eat on her own. BUY THIS

Unusable, would not recommend.
I suppose these would be good for some people with difficulty holding an average utensil, however they were just too heavy for my patient.

Great!
These work great for my husband. He has nerve damage in his right hand. The large easy grip handles allow him to eat without spilling.

Two Stars
far too heavy for arthritic person to hold. Way out of balance to use.

Works well
I got this for my dad as he has a terrible tremble but he's only 64 and still working and is too embarrassed to take anything 'medical' looking out. This doesn't look medical at all. It doesn't completely eliminate the tremble but makes it much easier for him to eat and he is willing to eat in public again.
