Old Masters 13016 WIP Stain, Amer Walnut, .5 Pint

Look no further for among the finest of staining products! With 40 years as a painting contractor behind me, I can reasonably state that Old Masters provides superior quality, color saturation, and beauty.

I used this to wipe on knotty tongue and groove pine boards for an accent wall. Then wiped on a diluted gray paint (satin finish) as a topcoat that is semi transparent and allows the American walnut stain to be visible. Turned out awesome. I intentionally exposed the knots which made the accent wall really pop. Will be using this combo for other furniture projects.

I’ll never use this seller again. Or order this type of thing thru Amazon. I never return stuff but the one thing I want to and they say it’s not returnable. How about a refund then????

I stained an unfinished wood desk with this - and was very nervous about it because I've never stained anything before (and didn't want to ruin the desk). I wiped the desk off with a damp rag (no remove dust), let it dry, used a lint free cotton towel - rubbed one coat of this stain on - and it looks gorgeous. The "American Walnut" color was much more "red" in color than I expected - it almost looks like cherry to me. Not what I wanted, I was looking for more of a medium brown/tan tone - but it really looks great, so I'm not sweating it. One (very little) can could probably cover 3 desks. I was afraid I would run out of stain with just one can, but there is plenty. This stain is dense & rich - easy for an amateur to use. Love it. Shipping took forever but it was worth the wait.

this wiping stain works well and has good consistency and pigmentation. A professional product IMO as a professional.
