Fast and easy, wonerful clean up!
This is a great polyurethane. The only minor issue is the depth of wood grain change. All water based urethanes and coatings seem to have the problem, wiping solvent on shows deep, rich grain, wiping oil on shows even deeper 9hence the "French Polish"). The water based don't bring out the depth of color as much. After discovering the weaker grain visibility (which may be a bonus for some people and applications), I put down a coat of shellac sealer with a disposable cotton pad, which is alcohol based which brings out the grain very nicely and also dries quickly. Once the sealer is down, i put polyurethane over it and there are no incompatibility issues so I get the depth of an oiled finish with the ease of water cleanup, and the water cleanup is the most important aspect. The only issue I had with this was using it on damaged wood, the "Self Leveling" aspect seems to only go as far as brush stroke and not uneven grain. It carried the wavy grain all the way to the surface, so i needed to sand off that and then re-apply, using this as a filler. That project turned out acceptable so I say this is very easy to use. If I can do it, anybody can!

Thick, does a lovely job
I had a bathroom cabinet with real bark and branches, but they were slightly peeling and collected dust. I used two coats of this. It smoothed all the little peelings and now the branches are much easier to clean. It's really a nice product and I intend to use it on other wooden surfaces, especially those that get touched a lot.

Love this stuff, but be careful
This is great depending on how much you put on it’s slightly self leveling. But that being said you have to be careful with the temp and any wind or dust in the air of where you might use this. I suggest work in sections of ifs a large area and keep a wet edge, so you can’t tell the difference once it dries. Don’t over work it. Let it do its job. like epoxy a bit Super smooth finish Would definitely recommend

The best clearcoat
This is the best clear coat. It goes on great without brush marks and you don't need to do as many coats. I put this on my children's nightstands. It has held up great to water cups and durable against scratches. I use this whenever I need to clearcoat anything.

Very VERY disappointed in this product!
Does NOT self-level as described. I refinished a kitchen island and left the top for last. I used a foam roller for the cabinet paint and it looked awesome when it dried. I wanted the same finish from the polyurethane. I was tempted to use another foam roller since it worked so well on the paint, but the instructions on the poly said to use a high quality synthetic brush, so I bought a very expensive one. The reviews online also said not to work it too much, so I tried very hard to use a light touch and not go over it too many times. I could see brush marks that I could not get to go away but figured they would flatten out (self-level, as advertised) as it dried. They didn’t. The next day the brush marks are all still there and you can see them but also feel them, that’s how deep they are. They look terrible, especially on the top. Now I don’t know what to do. I can’t imagine stripping or sanding and starting over, but I’m afraid that’s what I’m going to have to do. So SO disappointed! I read so many online reviews from many products before choosing this one, but I feel this one ruined my project. I need to use my island for Thanksgiving but now I fear that won’t be possible. I do not recommend this product.

Rapid durable coating
I like the hardness and durability of a single coat of this product. I have used it successfully to refinish worn sections of parque flooring and these areas have stood up well to continued foot traffic. Getting a nice smooth finish without brush marks is challenging and maybe impossible. It's self leveling to point but it is very different from conventional varnish in application. A relatively odorless product during use and no lingering odor when cured. It does clean up nicely with warm water and it's easy to care for your application tools after use. Paint thinner is is not needed and that saves money. It does build a durable coating quickly.

Not a fan. A little too thick and didn’t self level very well for me. No good for painted wood.
I would give this two stars but to be fair I believe I was trying to use this for an application a little out of its intended purpose. I was trying to coat a cabinet surfaced with three coats of acrylic paint. It never really self leveled like it is known for leaving massive brush marks behind. I had to completely re sand down to wood and repaint. It may work better on stained surfaces as intended. However the other aspect I didn’t care for was how unbelievably thick it was. I obviously knew it was going to be thicker than a traditional oil poly, but it was like painting with Elmers glue. I found it really difficult to get a smooth coat before it started drying and getting tacky. Had not luck with both with a brush or foam roller. I’d rather have to apply a couple more coats and have an easier and smoother application. I’m sure it may work well for other applications, but if you’re looking to poly painted wood, I’d stay away from this one. I’ve heard Miniwax polycrylic works well for paint, going to try that next.
