Exceptional mic and good audio quality.
Due to Covid-19, I am now working from home on most days. We are doing a lot of video conferencing as result. The feedback I received from a colleague was that the earpiece I was using was really bad and he recommended getting this headset instead. I ordered this but was a little apprehensive at first as my wife did some research and found that the price I paid for was much higher than what Amazon used to sell it for. In addition, this model is a couple of years old. However, whatever reservation I had vanished when the headset arrived. First of all, the mic quality is exceptional. During video conferencing, it sounds way above the rest who were using other mics. If you are looking for a headset with a fantastic mic, get this one. This is its best attribute. The headset uses a USB connection rather than a 3.5mm jack. So it is limited to laptops and devices that has a USB port. Audio quality was also excellent. While obviously not as good as a $300 headset I owned in the past, the audio quality is still very good. I really enjoyed listening to music using this headset. Volume is also good. Overall, this is a very good headset and very good value for what you are paying. As mentioned earlier, I paid more for this headset than what it used to sell on Amazon but I still think that it is worth every cent and a steal for the quality and what I am getting. The selling point for this headset is the mic quality, so if you do a lot of video conferencing or dialog, this will come in handy. Love this product.

Great sound quality
They are lightweight and convenient to carry. On the other hand, they do not feel like they fit well in the ear because of their lightness when placed on the head. Also, the parts will break easily if not handled with care. The sound quality seems to be good, as all people rave about the sound coming from this headset. Perhaps it is not only the voice transmission, but also the excellent noise cancellation function. I have been using them for seminars for more than three years now, and they are still working fine as long as I take care of them.

Very good sound, a bit uncomfortable, but great value for the price.
I teach online and bought this headset in order to create tutorials and make comments on student assignments. I have a recording studio and some high quality mics, but needed a simple USB mic for my purposes. The headset is truly plug and play--no drivers or other obstacles to deal with. The headset is recognized by Adobe Flash (very important for teaching online), and every recording program I have, including Adobe Audition, Adobe Captivate, and Studio One. It works within Canvas and Turnitin, for those who work in those teaching environments and want to create audio comments. The audio quality is very good--once you get the mic positioned optimally and make a few adjustments to your sound card settings (I'm still using XP on my work computer). This is designed as a close mic, so the sound quality drops quite a bit as you get a half-inch or so away from optimal distance. But I'm pleased overall with the way my voice sounds in voice-over types of projects-- clear, distinct, just a tad sibilant when the audio gets compressed in some applications. The headband is cheap plastic, and uncomfortable, but with some stretching and positioning slightly in front of my ears, rather than directly on them, I soon forget I'm wearing a headset once I get started on a project. I don't use the headphones at all--they didn't sound very good to me, and I really didn't work with them much--I prefer to listen back to what I've recorded through my studio speakers. But I bought this for the mic quality and convenience of having a headset as opposed to a boom mic, which I was using previously. I'll probably switch back and forth between using this and the Blue Yeti USB mic when it arrives. (Review soon.) I can't comment on longevity, as I've only had this a few days, but I've already logged quite a few hours. Overall, the sound quality is pretty much what I expected after reading reviews.

economic choice and exceeds my expectations - 3+ years strong
i did a lot of research prior to purchasing this headset for work, and it paid off. excellent quality microphone, lightweight, and have lasted me at least 3 years of daily use for work. i get compliments on the microphone quality in teams meetings, and even with dogs barking or people acting up around me, the sound cancellation must be incredible to only capture my voice. pretty comfortable, i just need to change out the ear pads and they're probably good for another 3 years. cord length is fine, doesn't need to be super long, and the mute/volume toggle in-line in the cord is great. for the price, you can't beat that quality.

Decent with annoyances
I bought this to replace a Logitech H390 that would no longer work with my work laptop after my employer updated it from Windows 10 to Windows 11 (Windows wouldn't find the mic, even with driver updates on the work laptop; the headset worked fine with other Windows 11 machines). This one works without issue. I use it for work from home meetings and calls mainly via Webex. The good: Sound is good. Mic is apparently good and very clear- as reported by other callers and meeting attendees. Sound is perfectly adequate for voice calls, not going to wow you for music or other content, but speech ineligibility is quite good. It's light and compact, fairly comfy. The bad: The cable is thin, cheap, and absolutely refuses to unkink from unwrapping from the factory packaging. It's a horrible wrinkled mess, and super annoying. The similarly priced Logitech headset I bought this to replace has a much nicer cable. The inline mute/volume has issues. The mute switch is not intuitive, and nearly impossible to read the symbols on it- it's black on black. Unless you're in a brightly lit room, it's impossible to read. There's zero visible indicator whatsoever you're on mute or un-muted. In my home office, I can't even see what position the switch is in, and you can't really even feel for what position the switch is in without feeling it. And is mute down or up? I can't remember. If I don't return it over this, I'll probably add some paint to the switch to indicate red/green for mute. I get that this is the lowest priced USB model EPOS sells, but some simple contrast on the mute switch would make the product SO much more enjoyable to use. The similarly priced Logitech H390 this replaced has a red light indicator for mute on the inline control. I'm also not a huge fan of the passive volume wheel on the cable. It's way to easy to change the volume unintentionally. The adjustment isn't very linear and is pretty touchy. The Logitech H390 has up/down buttons on the inline control that work better. Overall compared to the Logitech H390? This one is a little more comfortable. The foam on-ear pads are gentler, cooler, allow some background noise (which I like, working at home) and overall it doesn't fit as snug as the Logitech, which makes it more comfortable for me. The Logitech has pleather pads that are still on-ear, but block more background noise and because they don't breathe, feel hot after short use. The headband on the Logitech has a little padding to it, this does not. But it's lighter and still fairly comfy. The mic is easier on this to flip up out of the way. The Logitech had a very stiff adjustment which took two hands. Both headsets will only work with the mic on the left side. Bottom line: Cheap, but mostly good. The biggest flaw is the unintuitive mute switch, the second would be the cord which just won't relax and straighten out. If not for those flaws, it functions great - especially for voice quality.

The best option for 8 hours a day use
With so many options out there I spent a lot of time searching before I decided to buy these, they are light weight, the mute button mutes microphone without appearing as muted on my laptop, excellent noise cancelling I’ve had my husband mowing the lawn next to my office window while in a meeting and when I excused myself because of the noise they stated they did not hear anything just my voice, they have fallen accidentally since I bought them a few months ago at least 30 times and still they work perfectly, cord length allows me to move freely around my desk without pulling, finally a headset I can keep on my head all day and not crush my ears in the process or get a headache from the pressure. People are crazy these days using wireless headphones without knowing long term consequences. Sometimes simple and inexpensive does a better job than a trend.

Very Disappointed
I had a pair of PC 151s that I had for a long time. I used it with an UUSB1 3.5mm to USB adapter. but the wires were frayed. I tried to get another to find that they are no longer sold. I also found that they stopped making the PC 151s. So I purchased these as a stop gap until I figure out what I want to do as a long term solution. I wish I had not. Several clients have told me that I keep cutting in and out. Sound quality was the last thing I was worried about with Sennheiser no matter what the cost. I main concern was the comfort. This now adds doubt to my thought of no matter what type of headphones I get they will be Sennheisers. I now need to look into other manufacturers. I'm wearing headphones upwards of 10 hours a day. I can't be worried about comfort and sound quality too! BTW my opinion; these are not comfortable after 1.5 hrs. They irritate my ears to the point I have to use ice to soothe at the end of my day. I would not recommend these at all! I wish the would sell the PC 151s again or at least the UUSB1.

Great quality audio for podcasts
After vetting several inexpensive mics to send to podcast guests, I was pleasantly surprised by the EPOS Sennheiser PC 8 USB headset/mic. The audio quality of both the headphones and the mic are very good. Mic audio is very full with a good amount of bottom end. They don't sound tinny or thin. I would recommend good mic placement and a foam pop filter to go over the end of the mic to help mitigate plosives (that thumping distortion sound from air hitting the mic). The inline mute switch is a nice touch as well as the long cord. It's very lightweight and perfect for those long Zoom sessions. I've literally bought about 18 of these for podcast guests over the last couple of years. I have yet to have one with a problem. I even bought a pair for myself. For the price, I think you'll be hard-pressed to find a USB headset/mic combo that sounds as good as these.
