Great, Affordable coffee Machine
I was initially skeptical about this machine, as I’m quite particular about my coffee, especially Americano and espresso. However, my husband tried it at a business partner’s location and was impressed enough to suggest we get one for our home. For the price it’s sold at, I’d say this is an excellent choice. The quality of the coffee is impressive, and it’s easy to use. Cleaning does take a bit of effort, but that’s true for most machines in this category, and it doesn’t need to be done frequently.Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase. It’s a great option for anyone looking for a reliable and budget-friendly espresso machine.

Melitta Automatic Espresso Machine, Purista Model, F230-101, Silver, series 300
I've been using the Melitta Purista for a few weeks now, and I'm really impressed with it. It's one of the smallest automatic espresso machines on the market, but it doesn't sacrifice features or performance. The Purista is easy to use. The control panel is simple and intuitive, and the machine has a variety of settings to customize your coffee. I like that I can adjust espresso strength, temperature, and quantity.Purista coffee is delicious. The grinder is very quiet, and the machine heats up quickly. I've used fresh, high-quality beans, and the results are consistently high.I also appreciate the Purista's cleanliness. The removable water reservoir and drip tray make it easy to rinse out after each use. The machine also has an automatic cleaning and descaling program.Overall, I'm very happy with the Melitta Purista. It's an excellent machine for anyone who wants delicious espresso at home.

Great coffee maker
We've had two bean-to-cup Delonghi coffee makers but the second one packed in after less than two years. The Melitta was highly rated by Which so we bought one. Initially it's a bit complicated to set up but, if you follow the instructions, it doesn't take too long. It has three strength settings and we find that the two bean setting is perfect, and we like our coffee strong! It has three maintenance symbols, which come on periodically - Clean, Descale and Filter replacement. Again, the instructions appear complicated, but if you follow them methodically you can't go far wrong. You don't have to use a water filter but it is recommended, especially in hard water areas, and if you do use one then the machine needs descaling far less frequently. However, follow the instructions carefully as the machine needs to register that a filter has been fitted. At 1 litre the water tank is quite small and needs topping up frequently. However, it's easy to see and we top it up from a bottle to save removing the tank each time. We've had the coffee maker for several months now and are really pleased with it. It's very quiet and makes great tasting coffee.

Very high maintenance and is unreliable
We bought this machine two months ago to replace a DeLonghi Magnifica. It's main attractions were that it is quieter than some other machines, is of good build quality and that it makes good coffee and two out of three of those have proved true. However...the small water tank constantly needs filling because the machine uses a lot of water flushing itself every time it switches on and switches off and as we live in a hard water area we've had to replace the water filter every 3 weeks, which at £12.99 a filter soon becomes very expensive. In addition I've also had to run the cleaning cycle 4 times (£1.10 a tablet), which takes 15 minutes at a time. The last filter needed replacing 2 weeks ago and 4 days after removing it the machine required descaling, a 25 minute operation. Yes, it makes nice coffee and yes, it's quieter than the DeLonghi, but it's very high maintenance and we're paying about a fiver a week just to keep it functioning so my wife wishes we hadn't bought it and I'm fast coming round to her point of view. Overall, I'd say if you drink half a dozen cups a day you're going to find a lot of time is taken up with filling, emptying, cleaning and descaling this machine.FURTHER UPDATE 23/05/2022Well, we've reduced the amount of times it needs cleaning, descaling and the water filter replacing by the simple expedient of hardly using it. Now we just make a couple of coffees during the day and a couple in the evening but even so it has started malfunctioning. It often switches on, goes through it's cleaning process, and then switches itself off or it makes one cup and then switches off. This might be why it has started to occasionally overfill the drip tray when switching off, usually after we've had our evening coffee, so that we go into the kitchen in the morning to find the countertop flooded and then have the impossible task of carrying the tray, which is full to the brim, across to the sink without spilling more. I think it's fair to say that we hate this machine and wish we'd never bought it.FINAL UPDATE 10/03/23.The machine became stuck in its cleaning program and was unusable. As it was still under guarantee we contacted Melitta who arranged for it to be repaired. I was told over the phone that the fault sounded like a loose wire but when the machine was returned to us it had only been cleaned and the brewing unit replaced. Two weeks later and it's faulty again and now requires "venting" two or three times before we can make a coffee so I would guess that the original diagnosis was right and it's a fault in the electrical program. Unfortunately, it's now a month out of guarantee so when it becomes unusable this time I shall donate it to our local tip and I think we'll go back to making coffee with our moka stovetop coffee pot.

Consistent coffees
So easy to use and keep clean .The spout is adjustable for different height cups. It is self cleaning you just empty the water tray and the coffee grout bin. Put your beans in the top select strength size of coffee press the button and it grinds away giving you fresh hot coffeeBrilliant!! Great value for money

Makes great coffee
I bought this for my husband and he’s very pleased with it. It’s easy to use and makes great tasting coffee. It’s quite deep in size so you need space for it on the worktop.
