Holy grail for dry hair
Hands-down one of the best deep moisturizing conditioners I’ve used. If you have very dry hair, high porosity hair, frizzy hair, or damaged hair, this stuff delivers real results. The texture is rich and creamy without feeling heavy, and it gives intense hydration from the first use. My hair feels noticeably softer, smoother, and more manageable, with way less breakage and frizz. The raw shea butter, argan oil, and sea kelp make a huge difference — my hair looks healthier, shinier, and more nourished instead of dry and brittle. It also helps with detangling, which is a lifesaver if your hair tangles easily. Big bonus: it’s sulfate-free, silicone-free, and color-safe, so it doesn’t strip moisture. Perfect for my wavy, thick, chemically treated, and dry hair that needs serious moisture repair. If your hair constantly feels dry no matter what you use, this conditioner is the upgrade. Will absolutely repurchase.

Outstanding product...
Couldn't wait for this conditioner to arrive. It came quickly and did not disappoint. Living in the high desert I fight dry skin and hair daily but recently I was ill and the medication I was on really damaged my hair. Dry, brittle with an odd frizz. At first I used as a conditioner in the shower but using that way did little for my hair. Next time I used a my regular deep conditioner after shampooing then lightly towel dried my hair..just enough to remove the dripping. Then I wet my hand and put pencil eraser amount of the Shea conditioner on my palms and rubbed my hands together. Then ran my hands thru my hair focusing on the bang area which was the most damaged area. It blew out nicely but was still dry. Did this every other day for the 1st week and now week 2 it is looking better still. I will probably do this routine forever because of our dry environment. This product is all natural, has a wonderful fragrance, is easy to work with and is really restoring my hair. And let me say this...I am an older white woman. Highly recommend.

The Perfect Antidote to Summer Hair
After a couple of months of sun and swimming pool chlorine, my hair was feeling incredibly dry and brittle. This conditioner brought it back to life after just one use. It's wonderfully thick and rich, and it instantly made my hair feel soft, manageable, and hydrated again. It's the perfect restorative treatment to get my hair ready for the fall. I'd highly recommend it to anyone needing to repair summer damage.

Very good
Rating: ★★★★☆ (4 out of 5) Title: Great moisture and slip, but a little heavy for finer hair I’ve been using this conditioner for about 3 weeks on my thick, wavy/curly hair that tends to get really dry and frizzy, especially at the ends. I’ve tried a lot of “moisturizing” conditioners that either feel too light or leave weird residue, but this one actually delivers on the moisture. It has a rich, buttery texture and spreads easily—so you don’t need a huge amount. I usually leave it in for a few minutes while I shower, and it makes detangling way easier. My curls definitely feel softer and less poofy afterward, and I’ve noticed less breakage when I comb through. The scent is kind of earthy and natural—not overly perfumey, which I like. It lingers a bit after rinsing but not in an annoying way. Only reason I’m docking a star: if your hair is fine or gets oily easily, this might be too heavy. I tried using a small amount as a leave-in once and it made my hair feel a little weighed down and greasy by the end of the day. Rinsing it out works best for me. Overall though, it’s a solid conditioner—especially if your hair is dry, textured, or color-treated. Just maybe avoid piling it on if your hair is thin or low-porosity.

Better than some, not as good as some others...
I felt like this product did a decent job on my long hair, but it did not do a spectacular job. I did not leave it on very long, as I always wash my hair in a rush, but I believe I have had much better results with other products. It smells delicious, and would most likely work better if my hair was not as long as it is. The 3 star rating is merely because I felt it was good, but not - great.

Perfect for 3b Tight Curly Multiracial Hair
When my chemical allergies got so bad that I couldn't use Ouidad's products anymore, I discovered Shea Moisture on the advice of a friend. Wow, I have not been disappointed. It's a crime how much I've spent on hair products before discovering this conditioner. My only complaint is that it's tough to get it out of the bottle. They should actually switch the dispenser and put it on the shampoo and move the shampoo's tiny little spout to the conditioner. I have type 3b really tight curly multiracial hair that I keep natural in a very round afro. I constantly get compliments on my hair after having washed it with this conditioner. It leaves my hair soft and with no overpowering fragrances (I love that they use essential oils but I don't want people to be able to smell me from a mile away). I can often get away with not using any product after this. Yes, you didn't read that incorrectly. NO PRODUCTS AFTER THIS. It's not an every day thing by any means but that I've been able to get away with it at all says how great this product truly is.

I have been loyal to this company for many years and they never fail to put a big smile on my face! I have 2a/2b type hair that is always super dry. This product gives my hair just enough moisture to keep my hair feeling soft and silky without weighing it down. I suggest those who have 2a/2b type hair to use a nickel size drop after your wash your hair and lightly dry it with a cotton T-shirt. If you use too much product your hair will appear greasy and feel just like it has too much product in it.

I love this conditioner!!! I am of asian origin with fairly thick, high porosity, dry, 3a curly hair. This conditioner made my hair really soft, defined and bouncy. It works well as a rinse-out or leave-in and this conditioner from the Shea Moisture range specifically states it can be used as a leave-in. It is thicker and more moisturising than the Coconut and Hibiscus one, but might be too heavy if you have fine hair. The smell is not too strong but is a bit odd straight out the bottle (like musty flowers). However, once my hair was dry it smelt lovely (musty smell gone). As with all Shea Moisture products it is sulfate and silicone-free and packed with great natural ingredients (appearing near the beggining of the list and not at the end).
