Cubetek 4k HDR Media Player with Android 9.0, 4GB RAM, 32GB ROM, Dual Band WiFi, USB 3.0, Bluetooth, Model: CB-X2Max

I'll keep the review concise and precise.It has a good and snappy interface.Runs android apps well.Plays back local content very well.The bundled remote control is a regular IR based unit that really lets down the android experience. Several cheaper android boxes come along with air mouses but this doesn't. But they can always be bought seperately and added to it. It'd be wonderful if they gave one bundled.My biggest gripe is the 4K tag that this box is given. If you guyz know what widevine licences mean, it has L3. For those who don't know about it, well paid streaming services like Prime and Netflix don't run above 576p resolution. Imagine viewing a 576p stream on a 4K 55" television, yes that's what I'm talking about. Despite having capability to finely handle 4K HDR playback, the L1 licence has been skipped to keep cost low and that means no 4K streaming on Netflix and Prime. Youtube 4K works awesome though. So does local 4K HDR playback.In comparison the MI box S, though cheaper and very limited on functionality as well as hardware and connectivity options thans this, is actually Google certified and is Widevine L1 certified so it can actually play Netflix 4K HDR.Also the compatibility for the play store apps is very good but again, the bundled netflix app is a modded version of the native Netflix app and can't be sadly updated. It doesn't even show up in the playstore.So, set your priorities right before you buy this.I like that I can stream local content over network or play via harddisk thru USB 3.0 port included but had I know its only L3 certified, I'd have never gone for it.It should be clearly mentioned so that the customer knows that THOUGH THE BOX IS 4K HDR CAPABLE, IT DOESN'T STREAM DRM ENABLED 4K CONTENT FROM NETFLIX AND PRIME.That's all.PS: After the latest update of the Hotstar app, it return an error message saying "CAN'T PLAY THIS VIDEO, YOUR DEVICE IS ROOTED".It used to play till now with the previous version of app.I recently subscribed to Discovery Plus app and it gives an error as soon as you click the full screen button at the bottom right of video being played. It seems a temporary issue though bcz Discovery pkus is a fairly new and simple streaming service and I've had no similar issues on my phone or other android desktop PC, the Remix Mini 2G which I bought about 3-4 years back. It doesn't play Netflix either though!

Picture quality super.Video quality excellent. I am having 1080pixel TV. But when using Android TV box of cubetek it lookds like 4K quality. very useful gadget.All must have in their homes.

Nice player worth the money working well 5.1 is working for samsung player . I bought this as a replacement for my samsung Blu-ray player . As it failed to work for HDMI out and the service centre fail to support as the production of the Samsung Blu-ray player of my model is stopped across the globe . So don't buy the produced t of samsung. And moreover the cost of company android box are too high. Its the bestSupports wireless usb key board

I used this to replace an older model priced around half the level of this one. This model costs around INR 7K, which ridiculous for what unit does.The big improvement was in 2 areas:1) default setting for projector reverted to its native - 1080P. The older model used to default to 720P. Pictures sharper, voices better articulated.2) H265 vids play effortlessly. No more jerky motion, getting hung up on H265 vids.The additional ram makes a nice difference in response time and the repository add-ons do a much better job of library management than earlier. I still got one or two wrong labels, but that is because of incorrect parsing of the movie name in the database. After correcting these, it was fine.Suggestions for improvement:1) have a slow motion setting.2) Buy the licence for hi res versions of Amazon and Netflix. Buyers would not mind the extra cost at this price level.

There is nothing like 4K in it. The picture quality on a 65 inch UHD 4K TV is pathetic. Whether you are watching a channel, or photos or videos from a pendrive, the image is no better than 720 resolution. Only positive side is it makes your TV an android TV, but beyond that there is nothing to rave about. Youtube colours are so awful, you wonder if your TV has gone bonkers. OK for a 32 inch normal tv.

First my purpose fullfiled playing all 4k videos .Pros:Play videos using kodi playerCons:Software is too lagging and not user friendly need more update.Remote plastic poor not even worth 100 rsSound seems normal not Dolby digitalPrice too high when compare to mi 4k android boxOverall not worth compare to competitors

the only purpose i purchasing this box is watching videos from hdd and flashdrive this box supports ntfs fat32 i can confirmed that my old bluray player dont supports ntfs which is 12 year old dont support new compression so buying this box was a experiment which proven to be successful now i am really glad i own this box watch videos on mx player vlc player and if you dont like launcher download new one from store search term 'tv launcher'

Android device at its best.... signing in and downloading apps soo simple just using mobile WiFi..not required any broadband connection.fine hd quality...value for money..mobile on big-screen simple word to describe this device
