shelves are a perfect the height is excellent. top is wide enough to be used as a countertop / prep table and not an eyesore in the kitchen. easy to assemble the weight of the shelves are little heavy if your building alone I recommend to slide the top shelf between the bottom rack to support the middle shelf in this section of building before you screw in the bottom rack, this will help with the support of the middle shelf ,then screw one screw on the left side to hold it up then one screw on the right side and it’s now balanced to where you can go back and screw in the remaining 2 screws on each side, slide the shelf out you used for support and continue building. the functionality of the island is perfect and look great. the price is comfortable much recommended and it’s sturdy . One of my smarter purchases. Highly recommend.

This "kitchen island" ( I used it for extra storage space in my home office) looks very nice when assembled and was actually relatively easy to assemble - I did it with a partial assist from my long suffering wife - in about an hour-and-a-half to two hours, working deliberately at at a pace that my 78 year old body allowed, but, of course, that timing depends on how fast you can work. The workmanship was on the good side for this type of unit - not too much bending and twisting to line up the slightly misaligned screw holes of mating parts; maybe only 10% were any real bother and were overcome without much trouble at all, a sort of record for most of these inexpensive imported furniture pieces. All the parts were clearly labeled and they provided extras for all the bolts and screws. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The "wooden" veneer shelves were thin but very attractive and arrived unmarred, as did all the metal pieces as well. The island feels sturdy and works very well for my purposes while looking quite nice, especially considering the low price.

This kitchen island is exactly what I needed! The rustic brown and black design looks great and blends perfectly with my kitchen décor. I searched for months for an island for our kitchen. Everything I found had that farm house esthetic. This one is simple in design, but looks very nice in our kitchen. Its sleek and functional. Very sturdy and easy to put together. Instructions were straightforward. It's held up very well with our three crazy kids. I love it.

this is a very nice kitchen island, larger than I expected. It was a little off kilter but I was able to adjust the knob on the leg and it is very sturdy now. Well worth the money. No scratches or dents, very well packaged.

I was a little nervous, although I premeasured where I wanted this, I still was unsure. It was easy to assemble, easy to move around and is exactly what I was looking for. Organization is sometimes difficult for a smaller place, but this makes it so much better. The quality is awesome. It handled all the holiday goodies i made. It looks great in my kitchen.

Shockingly sturdy! We rent an old farmhouse with one small cabinet area, and struggle with counter space. I finally hit my limit and decided to upgrade from our small microwave cart. This thing is plenty large for our big microwave on top, with space to pull out a bowl to stir mid-cycle, and even store my knife block and our house entry box (keys, wallets, etc) on the side. I am still trying to decide what all to put underneath. Heads up - the measurements for between the two shelves reflects from surface to surface on the inside, and not the bars on the bottom of the shelf. So, my dehydrator ended up being just 1/2 inch too tall to slide into the middle shelft. The slat bottom shelf is awkward for resting anything with legs, but I had an old cutting board I was able to put down to provide an even surface for the dehydrator. I love this is deep enough that my Instant Pot and the extra liner for it can fit back-to-back. Thinking the middle shelf will be perfect for a pot lid rack and all my mixing bowls. Very happy with the purchase. Assembly did require two people, one holding things in place while the other put in the screws. You may be able to do it alone, but have a plan with some sturdy chairs or something to hold things in place. The screws all lined up perfectly and screwed in tightly without much effort, which is saying much for my arthritic hands. I did need to use a full-size phillips head screwdriver instead of the little thing they provided for screwing in the electrical strip. My only quality concern was the screw on feet - they are plastic and I fear they will crack and break fairly easily. But they seem to be standard size and hopefully can be replaced with metal ones, if needed. Plugged in easily enough and powered up my microwave for the first use last night with no issues. The instruction manual has no real text, so be prepared to look closely at the pictures for exact angles etc for installation. Everything was packaged amazingly well, with protective foam, plastic sheeting, and corner protectors. I loved that all the screws were in individual baggies labeled with the part number, and an additional baggie included one extra of each screw, so it can be stored away and easy to find should I need a replacement part later.
