I assume this is 18" high, 12" wide and 15.5" deep. Is this correct?** A: Actually the "boxey: part of the container is 15-1/2" high and 12" wide. If you measure from the back of the container to the furthest point on the front (bottom of the lid) that is 18-1/2". They just fit under my upper kitchen cabinets. I have two and thought initially that I would stack them, but I have them side by side. There is wasted container space because, if you fill them more that 2/3 full the stuff spills out as the opening is so low. To get around this, when more than 2/3 filled, I set them with the longest side down, and when I use enough that it won't spill it out, I use it as pictured. **Q: Is this container rodent-proof? It keeps the food fresh, it fits a 22 lbs bag of cat food, not 25. Which is fine, it does say it varies, I just wanted to let cat owners know to get a 22 lbs bag or less for it to fit in here. It has like handles on the sides, which I didn’t notice or even thing about when buying it, that’s been super nice! Don’t forget if you buy a scooper to get one that has the right portion size for the calories in your chosen food brand. For my cats I got a 1/2 cup scooper so that I could give them 1/4 cup portions at each meal. I hope this thing lasts a while.
